The draw for the Bank of the West Classic has been released and Maria has been drawn to play world No.77 Jennifer Brady of the United States in the first round.
This will be Maria’s first WTA match in two and a half months after injuring her left thigh in Rome.
Maria has never played the 22-year-old Brady who reached the fourth round of the Australian Open as a qualifier.
This match will be played on Monday evening and will start at 7.00 PM local time (10.00 PM ET & 4.00 AM CET on Tuesday).
The first seed Maria can face is No.7 seed Lesia Tsurenko of the Ukraine in the second round.
Maria is making her fourth appearance in Stanford and her best result was reaching the final in 2010.
