Maria will head to Rome to play the Internazionali BNL d’Italia for her final tournament before the French Open. Maria is seeded No.2 and has a bye in the first round.

In the second round, Maria will play either Garbine Muguruza of Spain or Mathilde Johansson of France. Maria hasn’t played either player before. The first seed Maria can meet is No.16 seed Sloane Stephens of the United States in the third round.

Maria is making her sixth appearance in the Italian capital and she is the two-time defending champion and has 900 points to defend.
