Knowing that there were dozens of applications from talented, women business owners across the United States who were all vying for a spot in the Maria Sharapova Women’s Entrepreneur Program with NAWBO (some of whom who were already NAWBO members) I feel especially honored to have been chosen as one of the spectacular seven to participate.
The main reason I wanted to be apart of this program was to get help scaling the educational arm of my company with our Think.Like.Ink. workshops. These workshops are a chance for participants to learn the foundational tips and tricks of visual note-taking and apply it in their everyday lives.
Since starting the program, however, I have enjoyed the additional perk of getting to meet and learn from all the other amazing women business owners. I’ve also learned that no ask is too big or too small to tackle with my personal mentor and have gained invaluable knowledge on our monthly calls which I am able to take back to my team. As an employer of six women(and counting),I know how important it is to foster growth in each other, to share those “oops”moments, and success stories along the way. Getting the opportunity to share what I have and am learning from these successful women, like Maria herself, has proven just as valuable as learning how to grow Think.Like.Ink. and for that unexpected bonus I am grateful.
2019 is looking awesome and I can’t wait to see and realize all the hard work myself and all the other ladies accomplish.
