Maria loses second match in Singapore

Maria was defeated by Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic in her second match at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore. Maria lost 3-6 2-6 in 75 minutes.

In the first set Maria got an early break but was broken in the fourth game as the Czech levelled the set 2-2 and won four of the next five games to take the set 6-3. Kvitova raced into a 5-0 lead in the second set, Maria then won the next two games but the lead was too big as Kvitova took the set 6-2.

On Friday at 1.30 PM local time, Maria will play her final round robin match against Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland. Maria has played Radwanska twelve times before and leads the series 10-2. Here are the matches they have played:
