DM: Maria Sharapova launches new Pinkberry flavour of Sugarpova brand at Selfridges

Maria Sharapova stepped up her preparations for Wimbledon next week by launching a new flavour in her sweet brand. The Russian was at Selfridges in London to unveil the net Pinkberry product, the latest in her Sugarpova range of confectionery.

Sharapova had earlier been joined by British star Laura Robson for an advert for the brand.

Having won the second French Open of her career on the red clay in Paris, Sharapova travelled to London ahead of Wimbledon.

The Russian won on the grass of SW19 a decade ago, beating Serena Williams in the final and announcing her arrival on the big stage.

Sharapova had been at Queen’s watching boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov in action at the Aegon Championships.

The 2004 champion is seeded fifth for the championships, which commence next Monday with defending men’s champion Andy Murray due to play the first match on centre court.
