Maria has now completed the career Grand Slam, having already won
Wimbledon in 2004, the US Open in 2006 and the Australian Open in
2008. Maria has joined Maureen Connolly, Doris Hart, Shirley Fry
Irvin, Billie Jean King, Margaret Court, Chris Evert, Martina
Navratilova, Steffi Graf, and Serena Williams as the only players
to have achieved this.

with 9490 points - nearly 700 points ahead of No.2 ranked Victoria
Azarenka.
