Maria battles into Miami final

Maria is through to the final at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami for the second year in a row after she defeated No.4 seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark 4-6 6-2 6-4 in 2 hours and 33 minutes.

Maria raced into a 4-1 lead in the first set, but was unable to win any more games as Wozniacki won five straight games to take the set 6-4.

In the second set, Maria re-took control of the match by taking a double break lead and didn't look back as she won the set 6-2 and won set-point when Wozniacki hit a forehand wide.

The third set was closer at the start as the first four games were holds of serve. Maria got the first break of the set to lead 3-2 when she hit a forehand down the line.  In Wozniacki's next service game, Maria broke to lead 5-2 when Wozniacki hit a volley into net.  Wozniacki won the next two games but, Maria served out for the match and won matchpoint on a forehand swinging volley.

Throughout the match, Maria had a first service percentage of 71% and had 50 winners to 46 unforced errors.

In Maria's fourth final here, she will play No.5 seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland. Maria has played Radwanska eight times before and leads the series 7-1. Here are the matches they have played:
