It's clear Victoria and specially Serena aren't easy opponents to beat ! They're really strong players with great skills , but we know who is MARIA SHARAPOVA. ;-) Coming from Shoulder injury and winning Roland Garros proved everybody how strong is masha ;-) I would like to see her in courts healthy and specially with c'mons :-D :-P
unfortunately injury doesn't let us to see Maria in Brisbane , But, I believe we'll see her healthy as past ;-)
Get well soon and return to the courts , I really miss your C'mons :-D

Awwww C'mon Frida, there's more to winning a match than that. We do indeed know who she is...she's the one who is afraid of Serena and always gets brutally beaten when she plays her.  She is also the one that keeps the true nature of her injuries secret in case her Sponsors get nervous.  C'mon now, dont ignore the facts...this is a very bad start to the season....in fact, it could be disasterous if she ignores the injury and tries to keep up the pace that she set herself last year....which led to this repeat of injury once more.  C'mon now, be realistic.

Maria Sharapova has quitted a tournament in Australia’s Brisbane over a neck injury.




She was set to play Jarmila Gajdosova of Australia.


In Brisbane, Sharapova will be replaced by Lesya Tsurenko of Ukraine.


 


Dartagnan: I totally agree with Maria, your health should be more important than any tournament, because without a good health it is impossible to have good results in tennis. 


Nadal has also quitted this tournament for health reasons.  


"I'd love to open a tennis school for children in my hometown of Sochi." said Sharapova Maria.

Don't know what to think of all this. Is't not a good start. I mentioned after her match in Rio in December that Maria was streching her shoulder several times. If we go back to a shoulder problem, I get nervous while typing all this. Maria sounds positive on Facebook so let me be that too, 'rise and shine' Maria. That is all you can do, to proof the world that you are ready to beat them all.

Ohh, too bad! Maria lost first tournament of the year! But I think that Australian Open is more important than Brisbane because if Maria wins that Grand Slam she will be world No.1 again! She should rest and get better until AO! She has about 12 days to recovery! Come on Maria


Maria needs to rest enough until AO 2013! Get well soon Maria!

As I wanted to be Maria in the semi final, the facts are that Serena and Victoria are the ones fighting for a place in the final. May Serena win , as I just can't stand the face of Azarenka.

Oh Damn, another pubertic fan.  Be careful Jesus, you might get nailed.


Anyway, to more important things.. poor Vika missed getting into the Final by a foot...., big toe actually.  Never mind, she will make to the AO one way or another.  She's defending 2000 points and Maria is defending 1400.  Serena can only profit from thier demeanors as long as she keeps her nose clean and plays through to the second week.


It's clear to me that very few 'newbies'  know even the first thing about tennis and certainly dont follow tournaments if MS is not playing.  Some dont even know what tennis is all about.  Oh well, such is fan adoration.

Yes, i am careful. i know what its like to get nailed, trust me 'tis not pleasant! Anyways, thanks for the warning. Just hope that she and i would meet soon, lol.

Ya know, i think i know tennis, in fact a lil' too much for myself. I started training at 7 and i guess i can relate to Masha, soulmates kinda thing. I am not a player at all, but i love the sport the most.

Our kids, with two tennis enthusiasts are gonna grow up playing it too. Hmm, i have to start learning how to coach, haha! Or maybe Nick Bolliterri (sp.) can help. Isnt that where Masha went upon arriving in Florida from Russia?
