WE ARE GOING TO DRINK CHAMPAGNE FOR MASHA TONIGHT FOR HER FIRST VICTORY AT RG 2012

Maria Sharapova was  perfect in her match, winning all 12 games to produce a ''double bagel.''

''No matter how good or bad they're playing, you still have to win that match,'' Sharapova said. ''It's always about who takes their chances.''

SERENA WILLIAMS THOUGHT IT WAS SO EASY TO BE A CHAMPION AGAIN AT RG 2012 AFTER A LONG REST AND AN OLD AGE (30).

Serena loses to Razzano, suffers earliest Slam exit

AP - Tuesday, May 29, 2012

PARIS (AP)—Serena Williams lost in the first round of a major tournament for the first time, falling to Virginie Razzano of France 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 Tuesday at the French Open.

The fifth-seeded Williams was two points from victory nine times in the second set, including leading 5-1 in the tiebreaker. But the 111th-ranked player won six straight points to force a third set, and then took control of the match.

''I made so many errors today, which isn't the game I was playing in the past,'' Williams said. ''That's life.''

Williams entered the day with a 46-0 record in first-round matches at Grand Slam tournaments. She had been looking for her 14th major title, and second at Roland Garros.

On clay this year, Williams was 17-0 heading into the match with two titles. But she pulled out of her last match in the semifinals of the Italian Open with a bad back.

''I didn't feel anything abnormal,'' Williams said Tuesday when asked about the injury. ''I was 100 percent healthy.''

Razzano jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the third set, but Williams won three straight games before what turned out to be an epic, 23-minute ninth game.

Williams had five break points in that final game.

''I was just thinking, if I can break here we'll be back on serve,'' Williams said. ''You know, those are the kind of things that are going through your head.''

Razzano saved all five, however, and then converted her eighth match point to eliminate one of the tournament favorites.

''I had to dig deep against a great champion and you could see until the end that she gave away nothing,'' Razzano said. ''I had to go and get the victory. I had to be mentally strong, and I gave my everything.''

Razzano's coach and fiance, Stephane Vidal, died about a week before last year's French Open. Razzano played anyway, and lost in the first round.

Congratulations to Maria for winning her first round match with such confidence. It was a great warm up for the big ones.

I would have preferred to see Serena beaten later on and not so early in the tournament. I just hope that Maria will not feel the pressure of being the favourite now. From past history, each time the way is paved for Maria, she didn't take her chances. So I am not going to build my hopes up of her winning this slam. It will be great is she does, if not, there will be the next and the next........

I understand Williams got brain burnout when she lost the T-break in the second. Anyone have a clip of that part?

Serena williams should retire and marry. It is the end of her tennis career. She is 30 years old.

And Venus should retire too. They should retire, marry and have a family.

They have finished their tennis career. It is time to turn the page and join the club of Agassi&Steffi Graff.

People should play tennis when they have the age for tennis. 30 years old and more it is not an age for pro tennis.

That is why I always repeat to Sharapova, play tennis when you are still young later you will have a pretty family. But now don't waste your time with family and marriage trouble. Concentrate your efforts on tennis. In life we have time to play tennis and time to create a family, let's not mix them.

Venus ousted in round two by No. 3 Radwanska

AP - Wednesday, May 30, 2012

PARIS (AP)—Venus Williams followed little sister Serena out of the French Open.

The elder Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, lost to third-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland 6-2, 6-3 Wednesday in the second round.

Williams was playing at a major tournament for the first time since last August, when she withdrew before her second-round match at the U.S. Open. It was then that she revealed she had been diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome, a condition that can cause fatigue and joint pain.

On Tuesday, Serena Williams lost in the first round of a major tournament for the first time, falling to Virginie Razzano of France 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3.

I need to agree with you here !We have seen what happened at Wimbledon and in Melbourne. The favorite and not winning. Allthough she has a lot of convidence , something is going wrong in the head when it really matters. Let's hope it's 3rd time luck next week.

Serena Williams has been beaten because she was not the real favorite. Serena is a veteran. She is going to retire very soon. I was sure that she would have had a trouble at this tournament.

I said that young tennis players would have been the favorite of this tournament at Roland Garros.

Maria Sharapova has improved her physical condition but she is not the only favorite. The battle continues every day.

Azarenka, Stosur, Kuznetsova, Na Li, (even the new tennis players)..... are also the favorite of this roland Garros. Nobody knows exactly what is going to happen. Each tennis player should be very carefull.

''No matter how good or bad they're playing, you still have to win that match,'' Sharapova said. ''It's always about who takes their chances.''

Don't count your chicken before they're hatched.

We have to be very prudent and be ready to overcome a difficult situation but we have to be strong mentally.

The situation is not easy, it is an important tournament.

The last words of Sharapova:

"There's no substitute for work and physical work and hours on the court, hours from the court," the Russian Sharapova told a news conference.

"Also just experience. You learn. Over the years you learn what your body can take, what it can't, what you need, how you recover better," she added to explain her progress on the physically demanding surface.

"Little by little... I'm not ever going to be lifting 50‑pound weights any time soon or ever, but it's little things, little muscles, little explosive steps that I feel like I've improved."

The improvement changed Sharapova's approach to the French Open as she now feels she has enough in the tank for a seven-match, two-week tournament on clay.

"Physically... and mentally... I believe I can play seven matches and I can play them all tough and I can recover well, which really (used to) hurt me a lot," she said.

"Before I would play three‑set matches where I'd have to dig deep in the beginning of the event... but (then) for the next match it was just like the balloon popped."

We have to support Masha. I only want her to have a good health until the end of the tournament.

Matches will start at 11:00 Am but I think Maria's match will start about 3:00 pm! Yes?

Because there are 3 matches before Maria's match and if they long about 1 hour Maria's Match will start

about 3 Pm!

Am I right or I'm wrong?
