Maria defeates Azarenka!
It's news not entirely expected. After watching Azarenka's match against Radwanska, I was very impressed and I was thinking to myself: tomorrow, in the final, Maria will be in big troubles against Azarenka; she is too strong in this moment, despite of the two latest excellent matches played by Maria. There will be a reason why Azaranka has the ranking number one and this year she defeated Maria twice in finals. It would be necessary that Maria was even better than against Stosur and Kvitova.
May be it was not so, but in this particular circumstance Maria played much better than Victoria. Well, sometimes, tennis gives us some surprises. Big serve (8 aces), solid returns, fantastic angles (how many lines!), better sense of position in the court.
Congratulations, Maria! You gave us a fabulous afternoon.
