I've made my request for the evidence (an audio tape), of the allegations that certain participant(s) in an OSA "support group" made phone call(s) to complain to the city about the Hemisfair Occupation which the City then used to launch an eviction of OSA from the Hemisfair Grounds. Apparently there were also "death threats" made against OSA participants regarding said occurence if silence and dis...association from other participants who are quite vocal in their outrage over said occurence.
Certain person(s) have stepped forward and claimed Leadership positions within the OSA Movement in regard to this matter. A recent email from a self-styled Movement leader embraces the principle of Cover-up as "Compromise" and assures me that I am the poison that hinders the rebuilding of OSA because I insist on the principle of transparency. Just for the record, this is not something I intend to continue banging on.
I'm willing to refrain from any further ongoing comment on this issue, not because I agree with any cover-ups, or "compromises," but because I'm not actually involved with OSA, my past participation was based upon my personal decision last October to answer the call from Anonymous to support the local occupations. Because transparency is a key principle of Anonymous, and because my suggestion for an open and honest investigation into the "conspiracy" has been rejected by the majority of the OSA Movements leadership in favor of "Compromise," the situation constitutes a conflict of fundamental principles for me.
If the future proves that the winning strategy for the OSA Movement is in fact rejecting transparency in favor of "compromise" then the Movement Leaders who have advocated and insist on this practice shall be vindicated and their will be positive consequences. If the future proves that rejecting transparency in favor of "compromise" was irresponsible and unsound, I'm certain there will be consequences for those involved in promoting this policy. At this time I have no idea what those consequences may be, but try not to worry, rather be confident in your choices
