Maria is coming from 0,78 % to 50 % chance to win the final. That itself is already a great achievement. Serve and return are the key point tomorrow. We can see that the arm is getting tired. Let's hope that something magical get's into the body and Maria has a great serving day. She really deserves this title, after all she has been through over the years. I wish you all an amazing day and let's hope it will be the day we never forget the rest of our lifes.

I'm gettting pretty pumped up for this match. Just under 14 hours to go now. Willl have to get up early again tomorrow. Boy I can't wait until the tour comes back to my continent!!! No more 4:00 am matches!!! Anyhow, I think Masha takes this thing 7-5, 6-4.  Just 2 DF's and a bunch of aces!!!   Can't wait!

today final show down. all your efforts to get a fruitful result. play ur match with confidence. do not think u r playing the final. also ignore all the negative thoughts from ur mind. as you know when you won wimbledon nervous maria but today you are a confident maria.

you focused in your each match which helped you a lot. do your best today to celebrate tomorrow. you will be playing in centre court which means lot of crowds. i saw you are training hard to do your best.

I hope Maria doesn't read any of the press before a match like this. I've just spent a couple of hours reading stuff about the match and it's made very edgy and nervous!!! Everybody expects her to win this!!! It makes me nervous that she is such a big favorite! I also watched her semi match again....and I wouldn't advise that as pre-match entertainment for Maria either, because it was darn ugly!!!! If she plays like that again she will lose. God I hate my doubting mind, but Kvitova suddenly scares the crap out of me!!!
Time for bed and then a 5:30 AM start to be up for the match!!! Just a thought, will Yuri possibly come out for this??? That would be very cool!!!
COME ON MARIA!!!!! DO IT FOR ALL OF US!!!!

Well the match is about who serves better. I am confident Maria will put her best efforts here. If she WINS! Then I'll be sooo much happy. If she lost, well, I'll be disappointed, but you know, a final showing at Wimbledon must have made her believe that she is once a Grand Slam competitor again.

After Thursday's semi's and all day yesterday i was feeling the same as deadchip but since i woke up this morning i feel so calm and relaxed about it! Perhaps sub-conciously i know that Maria wins the title?!

I wished I felt as calm as you do !  This can be the day of her tennis life. It's easy to say: 'JUST DO IT' !! But reality is so much different.  I'll hope we all feel releaved in about 3 hours from now.

Well this tournament is over.
I for one hope Maria takes the positives out of this tournament and hopefully she can go one step further at the US Open and kiss that trophy.

What a great play of Kvitova. Great serve, aggressive ground strokes and very accurate. Maria was not at her best today and was given a tennis lesson . It looked like she was a bit passive and I didn't hear many 'com on's' today. She looked in disbelieve when given her dish and had not much to say on court. This was her best possibility to win a GS. In september the other girls are all back. I'll hope she will not be too disappointment and angry at her seLF. I am starting to feel horrible.

Maria is as disappointed as us her fans but life goes on. She knows she has worked hard to get where she is now and she should be proud. Don't know what it was but she definitely did not play her best today. Could be Kvitova never really gave her a chance. Not many winners. DFs still there although not a major problem. At least she didn't blow it like she did at RG. Kvitova was clearly the better player today and deserved to win.


Well done, Kvitova. She seems down to earth and innocent in a way. She could get to no.1 pretty soon.

Great shame in the final today. But Maria looked a little passive to me and not aggressive enough. When she broke in the


middle of the 2nd set, normally she smells blood and goes into that 'zone' we know she can go into. But she pretty tamely


lost her own serve. Kvitova played well, but to me Maria did not seem to be bouncing and up for it today. But, hey, she's back


big time !!!
