Artemi Panarin is a 19 years old ice hockey player who won a gold medal at the recent junior international ice hockey championship, his team defeated the canadian.


He was the best player at this championship. 


He will play ice hockey at Sochi 2014.

Russian junior ice-hockey team beats Canada 2:0


The Russian junior ice-hockey team has got off to a good start in a super-series against Canada’s junior leagues.


The Russians won 2:0 against the Junior League of Quebec in Victoriaville on Monday. Team Russia will again take on the same Canadian team in the second game of the six-game series in Quebec on Wednesday.


Last year, the Russian junior team won, for the first time on record, the traditional super-series against Canadians.

Dementieva put into the Russian Tennis Hall of Fame 






Russian woman Elena Dementieva of Russia entered the Tennis Hall of Fame. As per the correspondent of "Championat.com", Elena won "Modern tennis players and tennis officials." Based on the voting of the jury Dementieva scored 34 points, beating Anastasia Myskina, Nikolay Davydenko and Anna Kournikova. Helena during her career won 16 WTA titles in tournaments and was twice in the finals of the competition "Grand Slam", and won a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics.

(Myskina was also inducted)
