Vika takes 1st set 62 in 33 min. [Y] 62 61 in 1:07. Streams coming up for Francesca & KK.

Schiavone eaks out first set 75 in 1:11. Gawd, this is some sh!tty tennis! They can screw up all the way to Caro-Agnie & by that time, you won't give a damn who wins. [:P]

Yeah, now I saw Schiavone won the first set 7:5

I cannot see it but I was wondering what's going on,

the score didn't move - they needed so long for the first set.

Comedy of Errors -- literally!

At 2:05, Kaia takes the 2nd set 64. Now 38 unforced errors apiece! [|-)] And it goes on, and on, and on...

3-3 in the 3rd; 12 breaks of serve (so far) in this match. I predict now, whoever "wins" this mess, there's gonna be a Russian in the final. lol! [H]

Yesterday the comment on Eurosport was that it was a draggy day,

no action matches and that the best match till then was

the Sharapova - Krumm match with good action and fights.

And he paid tribute to Maria, saying that she lost the match

but she was very engaged and Krumm had the crouds behind her, that was

an important factor.

Schiavone won lately.

"Sweet Caroline" won with 5:0 first set

because Radwanska retired ?

Sweet Caroline (oh, oh oh)
Good times never seem so good (so good, so good, so good)
I've been inclined (oh, oh oh) to believe it never would (oh, no no)

Heh-heh. Yeah, Agnie retired. I didn't really see it though. I'd been so totally bored with the preceding 3-hour ordeal that I sat down to watch Princess & promptly fell asleep. Fortunately, my unconscious Lenochka-alert was working and I came around just as Elena & Vera were coming on court. [H]

Congrats to Elena, condolences to Vera. Anyone see them kiss at the end? On both cheeks & not "air kisses". [:)]

If Francesca turns out as much a spent force as tonight, Elena will go to the final for sure. [:P]

Elena won with 7-5, 6-2. Great first set, Russian fight with all up, under and above; Vera "broke" in the second. Elena MUST beat Francesca tomorrow for those YEC-points and the victory "tout simple"[:D]

Really hope she will beat Francesca.

At the other site, would like to see Vika with the win.

( a final Elena - " SweetCaroline" would be also nice, with Elena as the winner )
