August 2006

#1. Sia - Breath Me

My friend told me about this song and I fell in love with it! She has this raw voice that is remarkable and the lyrics are great.

#2. The Fray - Over My Head

I just bought this CD and all the songs are pretty amazing but there's something about this one that stands out. The words are all everyone can relate to.

#3. Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter

"O" is one of my favorite albums and this song is one of those sad love songs that you can listen to even when everything is ok with your love life. Hope that makes sense! If not ,don't mind me, haha.

#4. Imogen Heap - Headlock

I heard this song somewhere and now have been listening to the whole CD for the past month in my car. The sounds are a bit dramatic and give the song a cool tune.

#5. Rachel Yamagata - Worn Me Down

I can listen to her songs all day long and how amazing is her voice! I have so much respect for her talent.

#6. Gwen Stefani - Cool

I was a fan of No Doubt ever since I was a little kid and I love what she has done by herself. She's courageous and is not afraid to take chances with her music. This song's video is one of my favorites ever.

#7. Kanye West - Gold Digger

I don't care how many times they play this song on the radio, I still love it! Such a fun song and a great beat.

#8. U2 - Where The Streets Have No Name

I have never been to one of their concerts but someone downloaded this song from a live concert for me and it's probably one of my favorite U2 songs. It's a very inspirational song that makes you feel better even when you're down.

#9. Damien Rice - Volcano

This is my second favorite Damien Rice song. I always listen to his music when I'm on the plane and have nothing to do but think.

#10. Nelly Furtado - Promiscuous

This is my new "It Song" of the moment. I always feel like getting up and dancing when this song comes on. She has had some amazing songs in her previous albums, but this one has a bit of a different vibe.

Yeah[:)] I did not know all the songs so I was like: why not find them and put them here so everybody can hear them if they don't know them.

The only one I could not find was ''M. Ward - Poison Cup''... very nice song but nowhere on i-net to show you.

She hasn't got a bad music taste, but not particularly good either - it's pretty mainstream sort of stuff

Damien
Rice - The Blower's Daughter must be the song they play in operations
to put people to sleep - that is the definition of dull

Mary J Blige/U2 - One is an absolute dismantling of the classic original...

I like some the songs for example the Lily Allen ones, Seaside by The Kooks, Golddigger by Kanye West and few others are alright. But I find most of the music quite dull. It's interesting to see what she like, I'd like to see a new list.

You like Lily Allen Albion? There's your credibility gone out the window - I thought you were a rocker - and you like that pop fluff?

I'd be delighted if she put some older stuff in from the 70s or 80s - it's heartening that she has heard of Ray Charles(one of the giants of music) - who knows why he was mentioned in that doodle though...???
