Kinda makes you wonder are they still in this to play tennis?

Or, with Masha & Sochi dominating the world camera, it's not worth doing? :P

Well, williams, in my opinion, always has her own personal selfish agenda and I wouldn't trust any of her excuses.

Indian Wells entry may be just a tease and she'll back out. (?) Ana didn't play FED CUP because of injury but

she's slated for Qatar. Who knows?

First Round Wraps Up In Doha...

Cirstea not only dropped the first set but had to fight back from 5-3 down in the third set - and a match point - to squeak past Russian qualifier Alla Kudryavtseva in a three set nail-biter, 26 61 75. "First of all, I'm happy with the result," Cirstea said after the match. "I got in at 2 o'clock last night and only had six hours of sleep. Also, I was playing indoors in Fed Cup last week - here it's outdoors, a different surface, different balls, everything was different. I really had to adjust out there. "In the first set I was still trying to find my game a little bit. I adjusted well in the second set but in the third set I knew I just had to keep fighting. She had a match point. Sometimes you lose from match point and sometimes you win, but you just have to keep trying and fighting your hardest." Cirstea's fellow Romanian Monica Niculescu, who came from the same Fed Cup tie, had a simpler 61 60 win over Omani wildcard Fatma Al Nabhani. "Even though I went to bed at 2 o'clock and was coming from the indoor conditions of Budapest to here, I felt great," she said. "I love this tournament - the surface, the conditions - I didn't hit outdoors for two weeks, but I'm really happy how I did today." Some other late arrivals - Czech Fed Cup heroines Lucie Safarova and Klara Zakopalova, who wrapped up their victory against Spain on Monday - were both winners too. Zakopalova beat Elina Svitolina, 62 64, while Safarova battled to the end to beat No.16 seed Kirsten Flipkens, 57 64 64. "I was very tired," Zakopalova said. "I slept just one hour at the hotel, so I didn't expect I could win the match, but I was just fighting every point and I won. I don't know how I did it but I'm very happy!" "Klara and I flew overnight from Spain, so we didn't sleep at all," Safarova commeted. "We got here at about 11 o'clock and I went to sleep for about half an hour, and then I went straight on court. "I'm really exhausted. But I'm happy I was able to win today!" The four biggest names in action had mixed results. No.9 seed Ana Ivanovic and No.12 seed Sam Stosur both moved through their first round matches smoothly, but No.10 seed Dominika Cibulkova had to retire at 5-all in the first set against Russian wildcard Alisa Kleybanova due to illness and No.15 seed Eugenie Bouchard was bounced by Bethanie Mattek-Sands, 75 61. Bouchard led 5-3 in the first set and had double set point up 5-4 but Mattek-Sands won 10 of the last 11 games of the match.

Kudryavtseva & Rodionova Win Doubles !!!

Fourteen major champions and 11 former World No.1s entered the draw for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, but after a week full of surprises it was the unseeded duo of Alla Kudryavtseva and Anastasia Rodionova who hurried off to the airport with the silverware.

A 62 57 108 win over Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears on Saturday capped off a memorable run in the Middle East that delivered Kudryavtseva and Rodionova their fourth - and biggest - title to date.

"I'm really happy with the way we have been playing, so it's really amazing," Kudryavtseva said. "The end of the match was very nerve-wracking, so I think my voice is still trembling.

"We will see if we have time to celebrate. We both have flights to catch. I have an early flight tomorrow. Anastasia is leaving tonight. It's a very difficult schedule for us!"

Kudryavtseva and Rodionova made their way to the final without dropping a set and a dominant display early on suggested they would make short work of Kops-Jones and Spears. However, they were pegged back in the second before finally closing out the match in a tense match tie-break.

With seven and eight doubles titles to their names, respectively, Kudryavtseva and Rodionova are no strangers to success, but, to date, a breakthrough at Grand Slam level has proved elusive.

"Every tournament we play from now on we're going to win! I mean, seriously, it's unrealistic to say that, but that's the intention," Rodionova said. "That's how we are going to go and play the tournaments.

"If it happens, it's great. If it doesn't happen, we are still happy with the way we work together on the court. And as a team, I think we already achieved a lot, and we are just going to keep doing the same things. I'm pretty sure that good things will happen at Grand Slams."

Nara Wins First WTA Title In Rio...Girls of the "rising sun":)

Kurumi Nara has been fast on the rise over the last six months and on Sunday she made her biggest breakthrough yet, winning her first WTA title at the inaugural Rio Open.

After coming through the bottom half of the draw, the No.5-seeded Nara capped a dream week with a 61 46 61 win over No.1-seeded Klara Zakopalova in the final, missing out on some big opportunities in the second set - she was up a break three times - but regrouping and cruising through the third set.

"She played very well and it was a very tough match for me," Nara said. "In the second set I was probably thinking too much about winning the title, so after I lost the set I had a good break and tried to come back and play well again in the third set. I'm just so happy I could win in the end today."

Nara's last six months have seen her reach the third round at back-to-back Grand Slams at the US Open and Australian Open, her first WTA semifinal at Osaka, and now her first WTA title in Rio.

Nara's mother was crying after she reached the final - how will the reaction be back home now?

"I haven't talked to my mother yet but I think she's crying again! And I'm sure everyone is really happy," Nara commented. "I'm just very happy right now. I can't wait to talk to everyone back home."

After being told she would break the Top 50 now, Nara was elated - and stepped up her goals.

"I can't believe it! I guess now I want to stay in the Top 50 this year!" she said. "But it's really amazing. I try not to think about being No.1 in Japan. I really just try to focus on my game and my tennis every day. I just try my best every time and now I have my first WTA title. I'm so happy right now."

Nara is the ninth Japanese player to win a WTA title after Kazuko Sawamatsu, Etsuko Inoue, Kumiko Okamoto, Naoko Sawamatsu, Kimiko Date-Krumm, Mana Endo, Ai Sugiyama and Akiko Morigami. Date-Krumm was the last Japanese to win one, at Seoul in 2009, and she also has the most with eight.

Ok, this used to be thee premier conspiracy website, in as much that the user had full editorial powers, with no time limits, and more importantly, that the members would rather die than to pull down someone's post down like pants on a playground, leaving the OP permanently exposed. Believe me when I say there are folks who live for this sort of thing. Usually adults.

Growing up for a lot of persons simply means that the causality, for better, or worse, is permanent.

I feel as if the damage is done. There's no letting loose here now....
