Finally we're in the last warm up tournament before US Open,  Maria didn't play Stanford and Toronto tournaments due to her  hip injury ( which she suffered in Wimbledon) . Hope she can recover till the tournament begins . It looks like hip injury is serious than we've expected . There is almost 2 weeks to tournament start, not very long but she has time to rehab .

Cincinnati is first tournament she'll appear with her new coach , Jimmy Conners . With best result of winning the tournament in 2010 by defeating Jelena Jankovic in final game . Tournament will be held between 12-18 August .

Don't think Maria will play New Haven . She never plays a week before a Grand Slam so think she will not play this year, even with less matches under her belt. Will bring bad luck !  Ps; Bye all, on my way to Italy for vacation. See you in 2 weeks from now.

I'm really shocked !!!!!!!! Maria's US Open dress ...

Maria Sharapova's Nike dress for US Open 2013

Maria Sharapova is missing next week's Rogers Cup in Toronto due to a continued hip injury sustained at Wimbledon, but in the meantime she's making sure to be fully prepared for the US Open, including when it comes to fashion.

At night the 2006 US Open champion will wear the above dress with kind of an ink stain print and peach details and Nike logo on left chest.

For the day, the Russian's dress will be pure peach.

Maria Sharapova: The Story So Far

The life and times of Maria Sharapova is certainly a story worth hearing, and the Russian superstar is keen on penning it. Just don't ask her when!

Maria Sharapova: The Story So Far

Born behind the iron curtain, raised in the United States before going on to capture virtually every title worth winning in tennis, Maria Sharapova certainly has a story to tell. And it is one that she has every intention of telling one day. She even has a title.

"I'd love to write a book about my life," Sharapova said at this year's French Open. "I love to write, so I have always said to my agent Max that I'd like to do it.

"I even know the title of what my book would be. I have known it for many years!"

And while the Russian remained tight-lipped about when this memoir would see the light of day, she did reveal that she has already penned plenty of material.

"I really enjoy writing," she added. "I have written so much in my journal over the last few years, and also going further back to when I was a junior and a little kid, so I really want to get it on paper one day - some of it is mind blowing.

"I mean, the thoughts that I had and just my ambitions in the sport, and how much I was so excited about going and practicing and winning tennis matches - that's something I really want to share."

Sharapova hopes her thoughts down the years will shed light not just on her aims and achievements, but also what has made her who she is today. "Everyone says that I'm so focused on the court and people ask me why and how and when you're born with it or not.

"And to be clear, I don't really know if you are. I think it's something that you learn. But through what I wrote when I was young, I think it would be so interesting to share it with other people, so I definitely want to include that in my book."

When quizzed on her own reading material, though, the World No.2's response was less enthusiastic. "I was so busy before I left on this trip that I forgot my books. Usually there's something you forget to pack, and this time it was my books. And I don't like reading on a smart phone or handheld thing.

"So I just went to the train station and picked up a novel, and it's been like four weeks and I'm still on it. So obviously it's not very good. I can't even remember what it's called!"

So it's not made by photoshop, it's a real dress that Maria has worn!

I thought that you have worked on that picture and changed its color and design! :D ;)

I've just about had it with all this total bullshit and her imaginary injuries.  She slipped on her ass at Wimbledon, then got it chewed out by Thomas for complaining and throwing away a match, then dumped him for telling her she wasn't do enough training and thinking about other stuff too much.  Then, she enlists the help of an old age pensioner to take over as her coach who can probably only do it when his hemeroids aren't playing up.  She gets all jazzed up to do the ESPY awards and didn't even get a mention...the award going to a real athlete.  She keeps posting pics on the home page like...look at me I'm training again...then says oops, my hip is playing up again.  Aside from all that bullshit, she cancels the opening of her new Sugarpova shop in Canada...supposedly at the last moment due to the 'hip injury'.  Right, have you any idea how long it takes to set up an opening??  She probably told them, secretly, a few weeks ago that is wasn't going to be happening, BUT, dont tell the WTA, they get pissed off if people arrange to miss tournaaments.  in advance.

This girl is way out of line now as regards Tennis...Her 'other life' is taking all her time and effort.  Wouldn't surprise me if she bombs at a tournament before the US Open and them pulls out of it saying her hip is still not right.  Thomas must be laughing his own ass off.. He knew this would happen.

Tip on Self Healing for Hip Joint Pain !!!

If you suffer from low-hip pain, cut back on your sex life until you get your complaints under control. For those who are sexually active, watch out 24 to 72 hours after intimacy. Try to restore the good energy back on time. Good rest and nutrition can prevent impotence from getting worse. It’s quality, not quantity that controls your healthy lifestyle. You should not mix sex and alcohol. Nor should you mix sex and drugs. Avoid sex after exercise, masturbation, sex within 2 hours after a big meal and within 48 hours after a fever or illness. Use the wisdom of Chinese Medicine to enjoy a long sex life...

Do stretch exercises to open your four gates throughout the day. The best exercises are upper body, shoulder stretches and air bicycle movements. Do these while you sit or while you are lying down. Do it more frequently, but do not do too much in each set...

US Open singles champs to get record $2.6 million

All singles players at the U.S. Open are getting a big raise this year, from the record $2.6 million each champion will take home, to the $32,000 for everyone losing in the first round.

The U.S. Tennis Association announced the breakdown of its across-the-board prize money overhaul at the Grand Slam tournament Wednesday, four months after saying it would add more than $8 million to the pool.

The total payout, including per diems for players, will be $34.3 million, up from $25.5 million in 2012. That's an increase of about 35 percent overall.

Last year's singles champions at Flushing Meadows, Serena Williams and Andy Murray, won $1.9 million apiece. The $700,000 tacked on this time represents a rise of 37 percent.

Runners-up will get $1.3 million (up from $950,000), semifinalists $650,000 (up from $475,000) and quarterfinalists $325,000 (up from $237,500), which all also are increases of 37 percent.

The percentage jumps in earlier rounds are slightly higher. Players losing in the fourth round of singles will be paid $165,000 (up from $120,000), in the third round $93,000 (up from $65,000) and in the second round $53,000 (up from $37,000).

The $32,000 that first-round exits earn this year is up 39 percent from the $23,000 in 2012 - and is more than the $30,000 that the singles champions earned in 1976.

Doubles prize money will go up about 13 percent in 2013, while paychecks for qualifying will total $1.4 million, a 37.5 percent jump.

Main-draw singles play at the U.S. Open starts Aug. 26, with the women's final on Sunday, Sept. 8, and the men's final scheduled for Monday, Sept. 9.

In March, the USTA said it would increase its annual prize money to $50 million by 2017 - nearly double what it was last year - as part of an unprecedented five-year agreement with the men's and women's professional tours. The USTA said then that it did not plan to fund the higher prize money with a similar leap in ticket prices.

Players have been seeking a larger slice of Grand Slam revenues, and the sport's four most prestigious tournaments are complying.

This year's singles champions at Wimbledon, for example, each received about $2.4 million, up from $1.75 million in 2012, while overall prize money at the All England Club increased about 40 percent. A first-round loser got about $35,800, up from $22,100 in 2012.

Roger Federer, owner of a record 17 major titles and president of the ATP Player Council, joined other top men, including No. 1-ranked Novak Djokovic, in lobbying the Grand Slam tournaments to raise prize money.
