Addressing its readers on the occasion, Russia’s Ambassador to Denmark Mikhail Vanin said:

Dear friends!

We are very happy to learn that now Danish Internet users have gained access to the Voice of Russia website in their native language.

The Voice of Russia is a state broadcasting company that has been carrying out its broadcasts to foreign countries since 1929. Once the Danish website has opened, we can say that now the Voice of Russia radio is broadcasting in 39 languages. The Voice of Russia website offers news on current events in Russia and helps its listeners to learn more about Russia’s point of view on world developments.

We hope that the Voice of Russia will be popular in Denmark. We also believe that the information posted on its site will promote the removal of cultural barriers, the deepening of mutual understanding and further closeness between the peoples of Denmark and Russia.

We wish the authors of the Danish version of the Voice of Russia site success in their important work!
