Novak in Dubai

World number one Novak Djokovic now has a vested interest in the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project at the Burj Al Arab, after he named one of the turtles in the project on Friday. Novak is in town ahead of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships this week, aiming to recapture the title he held from 2009-2011.

Novak was first introduced to two young critically endangered hawksbill sea turtles that are under primary rehabilitation at the Burj al Arab facility, which is run in collaboration with Dubai’s Wildlife Protection Office. He then met a larger turtle that had completed its primary rehabilitation which he named Leonardo, which was Novak’s favourite mutant ninja turtle character as a young boy.

Novak then helped transport the 30 kilo turtle to the rehabilitation pen at Mina A’Salam, and was invited to return to tag Leonardo when he is ready for release in May. The project has been in operation since 2004 and has helped to secure the release of more than 550 rescued sea turtles. Once Leonardo is tagged and released, Novak will be able to track him on seaturtle.org.

Wild cards Novak Djokovic and younger brother Marko Djokovic were beaten in the first round, falling to Nikolay Davydenko and Dick Norman, 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 in 75 minutes. The Djokovic brothers were playing together for the fifth time and dropped to a 0-5 team record.
They need more training on doubles .

Novak won his first match in Dubai against Troicki, 6-1 6-4!
There wasn't any problems for Novak in first set but in the middle of the second set, Troicki served better than first set and got some points but not enough to win the set!

Novak goes to Dubai Duty free Tennis Championships final match!

After Roger's losing in semifinal against Berdych now the final match will between Novak and Berdych! Berdych showed in his last match against Roger that he is a really tough opponent for top players! Maybe before his match against Roger, less people thought that Berdych would beat Roger but he did! Now Novak should do his best and beat Berdych and win this tournament!

Novak is winner of Dubai Tournament! Well done Novak

After Australian Open now Novak wins another title! Novak beat Berdych in final match, 7-5 6-3!

That was an easy final for Novak but at first set Berdych played well and could won the set but Novak didn't let him win!

With this difference of scores in ranking, Novak will play at Indian Wells with more confidence!

Go Go World No.1!

Unbelievable Nole is out of Miami, Novak upset by Tommy Haas, 6-2 6-4 .

Novak Djokovic  bowed out to Tommy Haas in straight sets on Tuesday evening to fall in the fourth round of the Sony Open Tennis in Miami. The two-time defending champion believes Haas executed the correct game plan to pull off the upset.

“I congratulate him. He definitely made great tactics,” said Djokovic. “He used the serve well and he moved around the court really well. He was better.

“I definitely hoped and believed that I could come back. I was fighting. I was trying all the way up to the last ball. There are days where you just don't feel good on the court. Nothing really goes your way. This is one of those days. But all the credit to him for making me play this bad.”

A fan favourite on the ATP World Tour for many years, Djokovic felt the energy of the crowd urging him on to fight back and reflected on the disappointment on not being able to provide his supporters with a third set.

“I always feel really nice here in Miami. The crowd is fantastic and always giving me plenty of support,”  Djokovic said. “Unfortunately, I didn't give them that third set. I wanted it badly. I was trying to find rhythm and that's the way it is.”

Djokovic will look to regroup ahead of the Davis Cup World Group quarter-finals. Serbia visits the United States in Boise, Idaho.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has a chance to recover from the ankle injury sustained in Davis Cup action and take his place as the top seed at the upcoming Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters.

A statement on his website disclosed that an MRI examination Tuesday morning showed no structural damage to the right ankle, which he twisted in a tie-clinching win over  Sam Querry on Sunday in Idaho.

The World No. 1 shared his optimism with fans in a Facebook post. “After seeing the results of all the tests we did, I am really positive and strong,” he wrote. “I’m doing the best I can with my team to recover fast and be ready for the upcoming tournaments. I am grateful to have so many of you worrying for me and sending me words of support. Thank you!”

Djokovic is a two-time runner-up at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. He reached the final in 2009 and in 2012, both times losing to Rafa Nadal. The Spaniard will be looking to win a record ninth straight Monte-Carlo title when play gets underway Sunday.

Novak is so hurry to play tennis. He should not forget that his health is more important that ranking&money.

Without a good health, you won't play tennis anymore. Money can't replace your health even if money can help you to live easier. If you have no health, you will stop playing for ever.
