My "SKYFALL"-review (no spoilers)...
For the EON-producers this movie isn't just the 23th of the fenomenal franchise, but also the 50th anniversary of it. With the "Casino Royale"-reboot and Daniel Craig they took another direction with the most famous spy of the planet. The new 007 had to be closer to "reality", darker and grim as the Ian Fleming novels, more violent and with a tougher look. So away with the gadgettoys, too much girls and other silly remarks.
"Skyfall" takes us to the dark territory of the past where the ghosts come back for revenge and attack MI6. Stylistic director Sam MENDES was THE ideal pick for the job and realised the most ravishing Bondmovie ever. Not really a surprise with DOP-wizard Roger DEAKINS to paint never-seen-scenes or Mendes' loyal composer Thomas NEWMAN once again with a fabulous soundtrack. All this made "Skyfall" more Mendes' movie instead of the producers
one!
The cast is as always perfect with Craig and Dame Judi Dench but the greatest revelation is Oscarwinner-villain Javier BARDEM who plays them all away in a kind of compilation of "Bond-Baddies". Tremendous actor!
Mendes never forgets the anniversary and comes up with a load of respectfull references to those older Bondmovies. The center of the movie moves as a red thread around the "M-Silva-Bond"-triangle with lots of frenetic action, car chases, firefights and some sexy women.
Titles are of a never seen surrealistic beauty and when the great ADELE sings that
it will all end at Skyfall it does in a breathtaking finale in Scotland, the roots of Fleming. "SKYFALL" will be forever one of the most memorable James Bondmovies
of them all.

WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD
