I have to be honest: if someone had asked me before the match to bet on a name, I would have said Azarenka. The player from Belarus leaded the head-to-head with Maria by 7-4 and this year in most cases she was the winner. But sometimes the court gives the most welcome surprises: Maria played a superb match, as is rarely seen, she showed determination, power and accuracy, really wonderful tennis.
Maria, you are marvelous! 
Maria is now in the Final of the WTA Championships and tomorrow she will face the fierce Serena Williams.
Once more, time will tell.
