MARIA WAS A FIGHTER IN THIS GAME.

Things started out not so great (FOR ME I MEAN) and I always had these bad bad feelings, cuz I'm a person that breaks down quite easily. Had to push those negative thoughts out of my head!

The first half of the first set of the game was definitely incredibly hard for me to watch, almost pulling out my hair!!!

But our girl still pulled it through! Won 8 games in a row to win this!!! 6-0 in the last set!! :D

Li Na I think got tired out in the second set and kind of went out of it, making it a much faster set than the first one.

SO PROUD THAT MASHA IS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!! BEST BEST BEST ! KEEP IT UP GIRL!!!! <3

Maria showed an amazing fight spirit when she was 1-3 down in the first set and got the set 6-4 after that she she started to play even better to get the second set 6-0 against Li. Amazing performance!!! Very proud of her again, one more final for Maria this year. Now is wait and see what will happen between Azarenka and Bartoli.

My very first mail on my new Samsung lap top !! Still a lot to learn but at least it is working. Have not seen the match as the it-man just left my house. I'm hopeless were it comes to computers. Great result to be in a final again, must have worked hard the last few days, as her form was missing lately. Let it be Azarenka in the final. She has a bone to pick with this girl.Yes I know, earplugs in but this arrogant woman needs to be beaten and think Maria is the one to do this !!  Just do it Maria !!!  Have high hopes this time.

Victoria Azarenka won 6-4 6-2, so there will be again a final between Maria and Victoria. Hope Maria can keep this level of tennis she played against Kerber and Li, doing this I think Maria will be able to repeat the Stuttgart final when she won against Victoria. Go Maria!

An other final match between Maria and Azarenka! Azarenka is Maria's tough rival! Maria showed at this tournament if she wants to win she can do it easily, as she wins her matches by good points like, 6-0 or 6-3!

It means Maria knows that she should end year as No.1 and she is fighting for it!

I believe that Maria will beat Azarenka, she should focus on her match like previous matches!

Go Go Maria

 MOLODYETS!

Makarova, Vesnina Win Doubles Final in Beijing

Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina

The third-seeded pair beat fifth seeds Nuria Llagostera Vives of Spain and India’s Sania Mirza 7-5, 7-5 on the hard court in Beijing.

It is a first title together for Makarova and Vesnina.

Makarova claimed her maiden doubles title with compatriot Alisa Kleybanova in 2009 in Morocco. Vesnina captured her seventh career doubles title.

Maria Sharapova goes for Russia's second title at this year's tournament on Sunday, when she plays world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka in the singles final.

In the men's final, Novak Djokovic plays Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Victoria Azarenka completed a straight-sets win over ninth seed Marion Bartoli on Saturday to join Maria Sharapova in the final of the China Open.

Bartoli surrendered a close first set cheaply with a double fault, and the Belarusian world No. 1 broke four more times to secure a 6-4, 6-2 win.

Sunday’s final will see the fifth clash of the year between Azarenka and Sharapova, who earlier knocked out local favorite Li Na.

The Russian has beaten Azarenka only once this season, in the Stuttgart final in April.

The prize fund of the hard-court China Open is $4.8 million.

Azarenka Joins Sharapova in China Open Final

Maria Sharapova

"I'd love to open a tennis school for children in my hometown of Sochi." said Sharapova Maria.

Another final for Maria. Another match against Vika. If she can play at the same level as she did in Stuttgart, she will lift the trophy. Maria needs to pump herself up and start off being aggressive and not let Vika dictate.

Hope it will be a well fought out match win or lose.

Maria has reached her 8th of 13 finals this year ! This is a big achievement and to be really proud of. Well done Maria, good luck for today's match. Azarenka on hard court again. You know you can beat her. Keep the focus and this can be your first trophy in China.

Just a few hours to go. Maria is now playing very well, but so is Vika, so this should be a good match and I believe Masha will win this one!! I'm going to watch my man Milos, the Maple Leaf Missile, play for the Rakuten open in Tokyo against Kei Nishikori, starting right about now!! Milos beat Andy Murray yesterday and will hopefully rain on Kei's home court final parade!! Another good Canuck note.... Eugenie Bouchard beat Daria Gavrilova of Russia in the second round of qualies in Osaka!! Good for Eugenie after she lost in the first round of qualies against Elena Vesnina in Beijing last week.
Well Maria will have to be at her best to take this tonight, but I think she is in the right zone right now and Vika hasn't really been pushed much yet this tourney, so I'm hopeful and I just have a good feeling about it.
GO MARIA!!!! COME ON!!!! TAKE OUT VIKA!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! DAVAI!!!

Masha is my #1!!

Well, she fought.
But I have to say I'm still incredibly disappointed.

She played so well this whole week, why this match she kind of loses it???? We know she can play much better than this, but WHY!?! Why in the final....

I don't know what to say. I still love her so much, but .... this match just..sigh.

Really hope she does well in the WTA Championships..

Just This: MARIA COULDN'T CONCENTRATE DURING THE MATCH, FROM THE BEGINING UNTIL FINISH.

And her double faults coming back didn't really help either... (again, chose to come back in the final WHY.)
She had more winners...but with those unforced errors...they were of no use.
I think most people were very disappointed because she played SO SO well this whole week, and was expecting a really close match from the top 2 in the world..
The commentators on Eurosport expressed their disappointment too.

Sigh, just don't know why everything kind of had to come in the final. The concentration, double faults, errors... :'(((((

CAN'T SLEEP NOW, though it's already 6:30am here!!!

Yes, unfortunately! She made 7 or 8 double faults!

Unfortunately Maria couldn't keep the level that she played during the week (especially against Kerber and Li) she didn't paly consistenly especially in most important points, I mean she had chances (0-30, 15-40 on Vika's serve played well to save some break points) but she didn't keep her level and let some key points just go away with some unforced errors. I think we must reconignize that Victoria knows how to make Maria to feel uncomfortable at the court, Vika was more consistent and didn't let Maria to take control of so many points. More than just criticize Maria's performance I think is fair to give some credit to Victoria.

Maria has to find a new strategy to the next time that she faces Vika, she has to be more consistent especially at key points.

Hope she can play her best tennis in Istanbul. Go Maria, keep fighting!

In December, I will be able to make a dream come true when Maria will come to São Paulo, Brazil to play an exibition against Caroline Wozniacki. I'll try my best to take some pictures and post them here to show you! I admire Maria so much and I will always be supporting her.
