You are right. Sasha looks a stranger in Masha's life. It is not the case of Novak. 


I mean only Masha's nostalgy for Novak forced Masha to meet Sasha once because Novak had a real positive influence in her life. She remembered the good time, they had together when they were younger.

A solid match from Maria today. I could actually relax and enjoy the whole match feeling confident she would win in 2 sets. I hope she can maintain this level for the rest of the tournament. She has some tough opponents coming up.

Maria won in two sets 6-2 6-2 against S. Cirstea, so it seems that she found her better tennis.
Now she will play P. Hercog in the third round who won a battle against E. Makarova 76(5) 36 76(3). It will be the first match at the national tennis stadium starting at 12:30 PM (local time). Checked this information at my ATP/WTA mobile app.

This is what Maria said after winning the 2nd round match:


"I had never played Sorana before but she has beaten top players and is one of those players who can come out and just have a great day," 


"She hits really flat and hard, so I tried to play aggressively and take her time away. I'm happy I played a shorter match than I did in the first round."

Maria's next match will be against Cirestea! Maria showed at her previous match if she concentrates on her match she can win her match easily!

She is busy with her candies, her candies aren't important than being No.1! I believe that Maria will win China Open if she plays as usual!

Ohhh, yes!! I'm so sorry!! It's because of the time difference! I saw it at WTA official site that Maria will play against Cirestea at 15:00!

Lovely Love & 2 victory over Herzog, Maria! Keep rolling through Beijing, Watched on Sina. Buffered a lot tonight but got me through. Played better when you beat Cirstea. Hope your website gets back to updating for you. It's fun to see your activity posted. All my Love to you, Maria.

Another great performance from Maria, she won 6-0 6-2 against Polona Hercog. She played very consistently specially in the first set (just one unforced error), in the second she was up 2-0 when her level dropped for two games but, she worked hard and broke Hercog back and got a lead of 3-2. After that she won 3 games in a row and got her place in the quarters. Very proud of her today. Bravo Maria.


I'm just a bit angry because the streaming wasn't working that well and I missed some points (one of those was the match point). Happy that now will have Eurosport streamings for the rest of the day.


Now is wait to see what will happen in the match between Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber both are solid players. Kerber has been playing great tennis and Wozniacki has found her confidence again after winning the title in Seoul.

It's clear Maria came back to her matches! If Maria plays like these previous matches, she will beat her rivals even Azarenka and Serena!

What a match between Kerber and Wozniacki, but in the end the german won 6-1 2-6 6-4.

Wozniacki made her work really hard to get this victory. Caroline is becoming more agressive and she found her confidence again, with this defeat she has no more chance to get a place in Instanbul but I think she will have a great year in 2013.

So, it means that tomorrow we will have a match between Angelique Kerber and Maria Sharapova. Now is wait for the schedule of play.
