Much more difficult than expected, this match won by Maria against Simona Halep from Romania. I could see only the end of the first set and the entire second set, so my comment is incomplete. For what I've seen, there were two sides of the same match: Maria played excellent serves, three aces, big returns, big angles, terrific winners...but too many unexpected mistakes (incuding two doubles in a game), too many unforced errors, too many easy shots oversize. A strange alternation of excellent play and unexpected breaks. In her best moments Maria played a high quality and powerful tennis. There was a lack of continuity. Eventually 75 75. Console ourselves looking at the best side of the play.
