Got that right.  Yeah, I felt she was an upcomer too. When she won the Juniors at Wimbly: Post-match interview, she was asked about playing Venus (still perceived healthy at the time, Laura said:

Taipei is a city--also the "province" of Taiwan/Formosa, the "other China" of the Koumintang.
