The Pussy Riot thing may have been mishandled in Russia & overplayed globally. But here is what is relevant:


The Occupy movement in America greatly depends on Russia--on Russia Today TV  in particular--to get out the stories suppressed by our corporate controlled & censored media. It's a mirror-reverse image of the Cold War days.


We here do not identify with the Russian "opposition" or regard their actions as related to us.

THE TRUTH ABOUT RUSSIA: 


In Russia people don't believe in "the opposition" that is why they don't vote for "the opposition". 


In Russia people don't believe in leaders such as Mikhaïl Gorbatchev. Just ask Gorbatchev how many people did vote for him at the presidential election in Russia? He just received 1%, the last time he was a candidate at the presidential election in Russia but not the URSS. 


Russian people only believe in honest leaders who have their own ideas and who are ready to help their country&people first. Russian people prefer to have leaders who are independant but not puppet shows of the West. 


Boris Yelzin chose Vladimir Putin as a President candidate because he wanted someone serious to rule Russia but not a "monkey" who is going to lick the West boots for a credit. It was the best Present Boris Yelzin gave to Russia. 


Even if Boris Yelzin was not the perfect leader for Russia, at least he made the best choice for his country because he was nice and didn't want to sell his country. 


"pussy riot" or "pussy idiot", they are just puppet shows of the opposition. They don't realize that they are idiots. Their nickname sounds idiot and their attitude is stupid. They are not mature enough that is why they are in jail. 


The russian are just proud of Vladimir Putin. They don't need anybody else. If Vladimir Putin stays 20 more years, they will be happy with him.

The Occupy Movement has recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. Nathalie Wahlberg from Occupy Chicago shares her view on the future of the movement with our correspondent John Robles.


She thinks that the movement is alive and the recent arrests during the celebrations in NY show that the government is still afraid of Occupy power.


Nathalie believes that the core of the movement, that is looking for a better world, will never change.


Occupy! achieved a lot during the last years, attracting individual and media support. Now, Occupy’s priority is growing economic inequality and education issues. Thus, the movement is still active and carrying on its fight.
