In the second round, against Lourdes Dominguez Lino from Spain, Maria won in straight sets, 60 61. Unfortunately, due to the difference in the respective local times, I couldn't watch the match, because for me it took place in the middle of the night. Then, I don't have a direct feeling of the development of the match. But, at least by the score, by the short time the match took, and also by what I read on this site, it seems that Maria was very comfortable, and prevailed easily.
