Another high-adrenaline match the one played by Maria in the third round at the Olympics. Against the tough German player Sabine Lisicki, Maria loses the first set after a long tie-break, 10-8. Down 43 in the second set on Lisicki serve, Maria reacts, fights with determination and takes the set 64. In the third set, on 33 Maria finds a better pace and wins 63. Again, too many difficulties, except the last part of the final set with Maria more comfortable. Anyhow, all is well that ends well. Good time in London.
