Hi Maria !!!
The content of this message could be considered off topic, because it doesn't regards a play by Maria, but by other two players, Victoria Azarenka and Dominika Cibulkova. But it isn't so strange if you take into account the spells of all the respective fans, at this stage. Well, after the first set I was astonished, 6-1 for Cibulkova, who played a terrific set, and much more in the second when that girl was ahead 4-love. The turning point was 4-1. After that, Azarenka recovered step by step and...eventually she won at the tie-break. The third set was very balanced, and Azarenka defeated Cibulkova 7-5, after a log sery of rallies and breaks by either players, on a real gift by Cibulkova, a massive mistake of the Slovakian.
What is the teaching of all the above? It is that even number one in the world is vulnerable; in a great day by the opponent, even Victoria Azarenka can be defeated, despite of the difference in rankings, and much more if the opponent is for example number two, if the latest is in good form, aggressive, determined.
From the heart of the night here in Italy, remember that, Maria!
All the best.
Kisses. Giorgio from Italy
