Always loved Sir Ridley Scott and his "Alien"-mythology. Great sci-fi by a master director.

"Prometheus" is of course an excellent movie with good direction, actors, sfx...but the script?...NO...

Was this really necessary? Did Ridley kneel for the $$$$$$?...Kinda "remake" of his original; answers

we could guess in that '79-origin...really deeply disappointed...

Official trailer of the new Q.T.-movie "DJANGO UNCHAINED".

Looks an ultimate homage to the Italian Western with a lot of political messages as usual...

Well, nice to be back... I feel like an alien a little bit...
What to say about movies,I've seen some really good ones this year, but if to speak about so called blockbuster movies...sad,but non of them impressed me,all of them have problems with script or plot, call it as you like, btw Hunger games is pretty nice to watch, also liked the latest Underworld, but ofc it's not a masterpiece / just Kate Beckinsale is perfect I love this British reckless baby!!!/
P.S. Tony Scott - R.I.P. Very sad,shocked,still don't really believe that;
What do you think of his death,Luc?

I agree about those "US Blockbusters", stupid teenagerentertainment without a decent script...

Popcornmovies i call them. Prefer a good Cronenberg("Cosmopolis")or "Shame"(S. McQueen)then that

filth by Tinseltown. Kate was for me the only reason to see that thing called "Underworld"...hottie

in black leather...WOW:)....

Was devestated by the news of Tony's "gone". I always loved his unique style, the way he plays with

colors and his cameradirection...great movies "True Romance"-"Domino"-"Man on Fire" and many others

he planned but we'll never see. Sad indeed, very sad...

Glad to see u back Nazar; you KNOW something about movies so thx for the post:)...

As I have mentioned above,I've seen some good movies this year,so,if anybody has an interest I would recommend to watch some of them:
Russian film "Elena" good drama,"Your sister's sister",for horrors fans "The cabin in the woods"it's excellent!
"driver" with Ryan Gosling performing really good, ofc "the Help" great story, watch it everybody,Emma Stone not typical here, this young lady can play at the best level, well also Belgian film "the kid with a bike" two brothers directed this amazing film, don't remember their names/ Luc can help me with that/ this story is really worth watching!!
Ok,enough..... for today!!!!

DARDENNES BROTHERS pal:)...already got TWO GOLDEN PALMS in Cannes and other prizes; here in Belgium

the French speaking was always a level higher, more intellectual. Flemish is more "all public".

The great ANDREY ZVYAGINTSEV...of course(can see over and over again "Izgnanie")...TOP-moviemaking!!!

Love "Elena"; he's for me the new Tarkovsky and Lars von Trier goes the same way although they hate him

...sure they do, they DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIM!!!

Thx for the great names u mentioned...as i said, rarely meet someone on a tennissite who knows about

THE GOOD CINEMA:)...bye Nazar...

Thanks,Tiger!!!! / for the brothers name, sure they will do many more good movies!/
And I must say that you re doing great job here, telling us about really good cinema
P.S. Do you like Jessica Lange? Just recently I've been watching couple of her movies on DVD, both really good:
And both about famous stars who had some dramatic and sad events on their lives:
"Frances" about an actress Frances Farmer, "Sweet dreams" about country music legend Patcy Cline,Lange impressed me very much, she s rarely appearing in Hollywood these days, what other movies / with Jessica Lange/ can you recommend to watch,I'm sure you can cos it seems to me you ve seen all the movies in the world!!!!

Jessica is in my "love her"-list:)...fabulous actress indeed that was the laughingstock of the world

when she played her first role in the remake of "King Kong"...things changed quickly with those movies

u mentioned above and (random)..."The postman always rings twice"-"Music Box"(89-Costa Gavras)

"Cape Fear" with Mister De NirAngel-"Big Fish"('03,Tim Burton)-"Broken Flowers"('05,Jarmusch)...

Check it all out here http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001448/

Must write some lines now about the new, stupid Bourne i saw yesterday...popcornmovie for teens...bye

I would recommend a movie called "The Tall Man" by Pascal Laugier with an Jessica Biel

as u never saw her. This "looks" as a "horror/thriller"-pic but is that smart written

in a puzzle-structure u won't believe what u really have seen at the end of the movie.

This is a piece of genius filmmaking, trust me(or not:)...
