maria just minutes ago reach stuttgart final after beat kvitova 6-4 7-5 and i think she can beat vika in final. and i wish for maria all luck in final.........

Nerve breaking games of Maria (Stosur and Kvitova). But a great relief she passed those nightmare games.
Like someone told before, this is the Maria i like to see the most. Fully thrusted her own quality.
Good job Maria! Now kick some ass with Azarenka. (Revenge time!)

Unfortunally i can't support you when the Final is live from tv-watching.
Play the music in your head if you getting in trouble, i gave to you through my speakers very loud at Matchpoint with Stosur second set. (Senser - Switch)

Hi Paul,  I was surprised aswell to see 2 Asian man in her box. Her former hitting partner is back , Volkov left ?? It must be really intriguing for Maria to see that white Porsche in front of her eyes. She can buy 500 of those cars but that is the one she wants and I just will not believe she will loose an other final !!   Beat the nerves Maria and the car is yours. Expect Sascha to be there tomorrow.

This German Stuttgart tounament WTA is upgraded with lots of great players.


Damn idiots commercial bitches who think its nessesary hang out evolution on vinyl or what else material it was.

Volchkov's most critical contribution is on grass. (He was once a Wimbly semifinalist, himself.) As the "grass season" this year runs from pre-Wmbledon through the Olympiad, I imagine he's taken the opportunity during clay to go home to Belarus. Don't worry, Volchkov will be back.

Yes, out of the blue this win !! I don't know what happened in the last 3 weeks but Maria's game is strong, consistent, well placed serves, the Maria of 2007/2008. I'll hope she will keep it up and does not throw away an other final. If she looses again it will become .....................!?!?!? By the way, the orange color is in the news, on Monday we celebrate Queensday, the birthday of our queen, boy oh boy will it look orange in our country !!  Really, you should come and visit Amsterdam on April 30 , you will just not believe your eyes.

A quick and seepdy adjustment from the TOP. That's what I'm been talkking about!!! 


I still believe that Maria can win few GSs in the next 2-3 years. ABout tomorrow match, she's played a lot of hours of tennis in 2 days in the row? hope she'll be in TOP shape for tomorrow.

Azarenka is NOT unbeatable. It is just that Maria hasn't worked out yet how to beat her. Maybe tomorrow she will now she has 2 new blood in her team to prepare her. She has been playing way above her level. The only thing that might let her down tomorrow is whether she will have any more gas in the tank. 


Yutaka Nakamura - He is probably the Japanese physio she mentioned in her last facebook entry.

Maria Sharapova with nerves of steel into final


Stuttgart. Maria Sharapova showed the better nerves in the contest between the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix newcomers. The world No. 2 defeated the Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in a nerve-wracking encounter in the sold-out Porsche Area. The Czech (world No. 3) was unable to convert the decisive points whereas Maria Sharapova, especially when things were tight, remained as cool as ice. “It was a high class and very tight match,” she said, “I staved off ten break points so I must have been serving well.” 

Both players are not particularly fond of long baseline rallies and consequently were both aggressive throughout the match. It was quickly clear that only a few points were going to be decisive. The questions were, who was going to convert the big points? Who was going to break? In the first set, it was Maria Sharapova when the scores were level at 2-2. Leading 40-0 on Kvitova’s serve she squandered all three chances before taking the game on her fourth break point. Now 3-2 up, she eventually closed out the set 6-4. 

The second set was pure excitement – and a duel of nerves. Petra Kvitova had break chances at 2-1 but Maria Sharapova showed her class when serving two aces. And the Wimbledon winner had two more break points at 3-2 but this time the ice-cool Russian coun-tered risking everything. The same happened again at 4-3 when Maria Sharapova once again saved two break points. Things became even more bitter for Petra Kvitova when she dropped her serve at 5-4. Serving for the match Maria Sharapova couldn’t take advantage of a match point and Kvitova broke back only for the Russian to take the tie-break and victory after one hour 59 minutes. One has to take ones chances against Maria Sharapova.

Impressive WIN by Maria against a big hitting opponents. What impressed me the most is how well Sharapova served in BIG POINTS. Normally she would gift it with a double fault when her 1st serve fails her, but this time she was fearlessly hitting those second serves close to the line. Not to mention that "Kick Serve" by Maria caused Petra tons of trouble. 


If she serves the way she is the past 2 rounds, she'll be good in holding her service games. But she should be moving really fast against Azarenka, because for the past 2 matches, Azarenka's tactics are always the same, cut Maria's reaction time by taking the ball early.

Missed this whole tourney because I've been on the road, but I will watch tomorrow. I hope I don't jinx this, but I have a good feeling about this one and I can see Masha looking extremely hot in her new Porsche, much like Julia looked last year!!! Hope she is not too drained from playing some heavy matches the last couple of days. it's good that th match isn't until evening, a little extra time to recover. Well I'm going to say 6-4, 7-5 for Masha!!! Please don't get blown away again. That would suck. Whatever happens I'm still very proud that she has climbed back into top shelf form.
COME ON MARIA YOU CAN BEAT VIKA!!! Let's do this!!! DAVAI BABY !!!

Masha is my #1!!

Masha doesn't give a damn about that car; she's here with a determination i didn't see since

a long time. This girl only goal is to win from her "black sheep" and the way she battles, fights

"back to the wall" is really impressive(déjà-vu-all-over off those legendary duels between Henin-Clijsters).

No doubt she can win this if that "fear-of-flying-trauma" doesn't strikes again. (It did every time

with the Belgian, so Henin won easy)...State of mind allready before the match will decide i guess...

The mind, that ugly beast that commands all and everything we do...

I hope Thomas sits down with her to watch those past matches and work out how to beat Vika. This reminds me of finals between Graf and Sabatini. I was always rooting for Sabatini and Graf would invariably beat her until finally in the US Open (1988 I think) Gaby changed things around. Hope the same can happen for Maria today.
