Maria should just relax and enjoy her first time in Stuttgart. Take each match and each opponent as a warm up to RG. That way, win or lose doesn't matter. Win will be a bonus, lose just move on to the next one. I feel she had been too uptight in the last few tourneys. She looks happy and relaxed in Stuttgart so far.

Her entourage?? First time I have heard of that. Another exaggeration of the press. Every match I have watched had been coach, hitting partner, physio and Max her agent. Never seen any personal body guards or securities either. As for laying down the law...

Maria likes to pick her own hotels . Nothing wrong with that. Who wants to stay in a 3 star with no heating in this cold weather? I am assuming Germany is as cold as UK

Maria beat A. Cornet in 2nd round of Stuttgart tournament. She beat Cornet in 2 sets, 6-3 1-0 Ret'd.

Next match will be tough because Maria will play against Stosur or Goerges.

I hope Maria go to final match and win Stuttgart tournament.

Remember, Maria can't win any tournaments in 2012 until.

I am sure that Maria will win a tournament this year. I know that she tries to avoid her bad mistakes at each match. I don't worry about that.

There is no weak or strong opponent in a tournement, any tennis player can be dangerous. We never know what can happen in a match. Of course injuries are not welcomed but it is important to be physically prepared to avoid injuries.

I believe in Masha. Congratulation Masha. Go go Masha.

That was a quicky ! Glad Maria is in Europe, at least I am able to see some tennis. Do not expect too much of this tournament. It's indoor ( Maria doesn't like to play indoor ) first clay court tourny and the last competition week for Sasha in Turkey so the sooner she is out the faster she wil meet Sasha, lol,   "Cow on ice ", no I didn't see a cow in her first match . It was more like a 'swan on ice', Maria will get better and better, watch her Philli, you will be proud of her soon.

Watched the short match on Eurosport. Shame it was short as Maria would have won in 2 sets anyway if there was no shoulder injury with Cornet. I was happy to see Maria serving so well and she continues to slowly work her way to the net. Just needs to practise on the forehand drive volley, Maria and you can definitely win a GS this year. Goodluck for Friday. Bring on Sam or Julia. Doesn't matter who.

I think Masha improved her tennis on clay the last year.

I don't worry about the german girls because they might not play against Masha.

I mean there are tennis players stronger than them at this tournament.

I don't think that  a shoulderinjury is an excuse at the tournament because many tennis players have injuries. Even Masha had a shoulder injury. It is the price tennis players have to pay when they play too much tennis so sometimes they need a good rest.

Maria will play against Stosur in QF match. It will be a tough because Stosur is a top player in WTA and

She is #5 in WTA single ranking.

I hope Maria beat Stosur.

Now watching Azarenka's match against Barthel. I gotta say Barthel got a BIG serve, but she isn't using it wisely against Azarenka. Even the second serve was big, but she has to pay the price of actually hitting double faults

That was some high quality tennis of both players . Maria played great return of serves against Sam. 'It isn't over untill I say it is ', Maria's NIKE slogan and its true, we saw it tonight. She said she likes to sleep, so good night Maria and play as good as you did tonight tomorrow. Petra and her serves again ?? We'll see.
