Oh, and Brebis, if Maria wants to make the number 1 spot she should get off her photographic butt and play more tournaments like the rest of the hard working girls.

blablablabla !!!

I did forget to ask the question if you will go and see Maria play in Stuttgart !  As one of her biggest fans, I expect you do. It's her first time to play in Germany and this is your chance to do so. Give us an update afterwards. Positive this time.

It will be hard for Maria in Stuttgart because germans don't like russians.

They love only herself and as it's their homecountry tournament they surely

want to win with one of their new-born stars

( Petkovic, Kerber, Barthel, Goerges ).

That will not be easy !! Kvitova, Stosor, Wozniacki in her part of the draw. But heeee, what to expect from her on clay, right Philli ? She it too slow, slides "like a cow on ice", poor service, no patience. Out in round 2.No need to go to Stuttgart Philli, waist of your time.

Frankly, I'm surprised that Maria has still not pulled out. Her first match will probably be on Wednesday, then it's a match every day up til Sunday. One thing is sure though.. if she plays, she will definitely pull out of Madrid next week and then do Rome the week after which she has to defend. Going to be a toughy, this one.

Stuttgart Draw

Posted on April 21, 2012

Maria will be playing her first clay court tournament of 2012 at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.  Maria is seeded No.2 and has a bye in the first round.

In the second round, Maria will play either a qualifier or Flavia Pennetta of Italy in the second round.  The first seeded player Maria can meet is No.6 seed Samantha Stosur of Australia in the quarters.

Stuttgart 2012 Singles Draw

This is Maria's first appearance in Stuttgart and she has no points to defend this week.  Stuttgart is a premier event and all of the top 8 players are playing.

We don't have to be pessimistic about Masha's tennis. We have to be optimistic about Masha because she reached her highest ranking and she is going to fight to keep this ranking. It is not easy but it is the price you have to pay to be a Champion. After this birthday rest Masha will play a good tennis. I promise you. Pennetta is not better than Masha in tennis.

GO GO Masha!!!!

Of course Maria is better than Pennetta and she can win her but in final and semifinal Maria may play against Kvitova

and other top WTA players. I think that Azarenka will go to final match as other tournament, but this time Maria

should beat Azarenka.

I hope Maria go to final match and win Stuttgart tournament.

Stuttgart. Maria Sharapova, the world No. 2, sat down with the journalists to answer a variety of questions at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix’s All Access Hour. The 25-year-old Russian’s thoughts ...

. . . about her first appearance at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix:
“The tournament is naturally a special event but it unfortunately never previously fitted into my schedule. But now it’s nice being here and I’m looking forward to the Porsche. Winning one is always a nice bonus but I have to first get through a few rounds.”

. . . about her game on clay:
“Clay isn’t my favourite surface. It’s more of a cat and mouse game and you have to be pa-tient and be ready to play long rallies. But I’m learning and am enjoying it more than I did before.“

. . . about Germany:
“A beautiful country. I’ve been to Berlin, Munich and now here in Stuttgart. I like the food here and the speed of the cars. I actually drove here from Munich and the driver asked me if he could drive normally. Germany and normal driving – I don’t know if that’s a good equation.”

. . . about the Olympic Games this summer in London:
“I’ve never been to the Olympics which is why I can’t compare whether a gold medal means as much to me as a Grand Slam title. It’ll definitely be a wonderful experience for me as the Olympic Games will be something new. Russia is a sports nation and the Olympic Games are really big back home. I actually wanted to be a rhythmic gymnast and I dreamed of being an Olympian.”

. . . about a photo of her with short hair in facebook:
“It’s a funny story. A few days ago I was doing a photo shooting for Harper’s Bazaar. And I was wearing a wig for part of the time. And without thinking I posted one of the photos on facebook. I was surprised by the power of facebook. It was a little naive of me to believe that seven million fans wouldn’t think anything of it. I got more emails than after winning Grand Slams. The photo sparked an amazing hype. Some liked it, other didn’t. As you can see my hair is still there. But I loved my short hair.”

She also arrived with a huge entourage of personnel and immediately began laying down the law to the Organizers about what she wanted in addition to what was being offered. Naturally she did not stay in the Hotel reserved for all the players and the all she could do was give them a cursory 'Hi'.  She's obviously not here to make friends.

Aw, Philli,  we know who are always with Maria: Thomas, Vlad & maybe the physio--a couple of Security, I'm guessing. Hardly compares to Serena's 10+.

"Make friends"? lol It's Deutschland! Looking for friends, try a friendlier place, like... Serbia?

Hey Paul, I didn't write that... I copied and pasted it directly off the Stuttgart website and German Eurosport. Chelsea was right when she said Maria was a bitch. She only came for the Porsche... Fat chance. Wonder if the German girls will play in thier SS uniforms again like Fed Cup...not that it will help here either. Gorgeous is not up to par...got a cold and her Porsche is still standing in the showroom from last year.

By the way, I figured out why Serena doesn't play here.  Her ass wont fit into a Porsche.
