Article of Bodo regarding Woz and Maria match. Bodo was a bit harsh on Wozniacki in this article :D

Looks like Radwanska will be Maria's opponent in the final. This is going to be tough, considering Maria's condition and Radwanska hasn't lost a set yet in this tournament. Maria always have problem with Radwanska, but as long as she'll dictate right at the first strike, serve well and avoid errors, she'll be good.

Bartoli and Agnieska's match was suspended. Raining?

Well, this is a chance for Bartoli to turn things around. Rain delays could really turn a match around.

The lights had failed on court, thus a brief delay. But it was Agnie 64 62 in 45 mins! I got there at the second warmup 64 42 & Radwanska was DOMINATING, if you can believe. So I doubt the glitch affected anything. A match too far for Marion, I figure.

Was fun watching the match last night. Shoutbox was fun :)

Well Maria played some amazing tennis in the start of the match. up to 4-1 she was simply breathtaking. Then she switched off and simply lost the set. Extremely dissappointing, it was like she forgot what she was doing up to that 4-1 point where she was amazing.

But then like a true classic Maria she stepped on the court, forgot what happened in the first set and demanded the win. the second set was marvelous, god mode was activated. And the third set was equally good!

Maria needs just to keep the switch turned ON the entire duration of the match and she will come out as the winner!

Also for you guys, HD highlights of the semi final vs Li Na.

And also highlights from the match VS Makarova:

ENJOY! :)

According to the WTA ranking&the good preparation of Masha, the next winner of Miami tournament should be:

MARIA SHARAPOVA

Radwanska has only lost to Azarenka this year. This will be a tough tough match for maria. She HAS had to work harder than radwanska to get to the final (really good win over wozniaki, btw). Just hope she can climb over that one last, huge hurdle......come on MARIA!!!

We have seen lately that Maria freeses when the pressure comes. RG semi, Wimbledon final, AO final, IW final !! She really needs to play freely to get this win. It would be embarrasing if she does not win this 4th Miami final. No pressure Maria , have fun and do the best you can !! Good luck.

Yeah Masha has a double pressure, she should keep her high ranking&win the tournament for her honor.

But Masha has a good chance to win this tournament even if we do not underestimate her opponent.

I refuse to say Radwanska won. Maria LOST. The match was concluded in 2 sets because of MARIA. Nobody can say Radwanska blew her out of the water and Maria was just outplayed. No, Maria's error count made her lose. The serve was fine, but she was going for way too much. And another note, hearing Mary Carillo laughing at Maria's frustration and complimenting Radwanska only throughout the whole thing, making jabs at Maria's grunting was so distasteful. I guess she has to be bitter, I mean, when someone has had a tennis career that never even made a scratch on the professional level will ought to make you angry. I'm not saying Radwansucks didn't win because she doesn't hit hard, I really love the tactical game, but when a player sits back and the other playing her spraying everything, it's not satisfying.

I'd like to think i'm not a irrational bitchy Maria fan. Sorry if it sounds that way, it's just I wanted a better final, where quality tennis was played against quality tennis. Maria got to the final playing 55%. Had she played even 70% she would have won. But oh well. The award presentation was nice from Radwanska and Maria didn't look phased.

Off to clay court training!

Peace and love, I guess.

I know you hate me...especially Val, but I did say last week after her first 3 setter that if she has to play another she will be burned out for the final. Well, she did...and she was. Dont you hate it when I'm right.

That break point against radnwanka at 3-3 in the 2nd set  in which Maria defiantely shoud've converted could've been the turning point of that match...

I can't believe Maria didn't break Aga's serve. Even a blind one-legged 100 year old sick person could.

3 big final in 2012.. all lost in straight sets.

The finals part is good, but seriously she needs to do something about these finals.

UNFAIR, DISGUSTING, HEARTBREAKING, NAUSEATING, that's how we can summarize this loss in her 4th Miami final!! She really deserved this tournament!!

But as usual Maria has been caught up by her demons!! I mean don't get me wrong, Maria is such a great champion, with so much potential, but she is so stubborn!! She has not understand yet the importnance of variety, rythm change and tactics in the game!! I mean Radwanska was always 2 metres away from her baseline and Maria has not tried once just once to do a drop shot !!! And the volley ??? The only time Maria went to the net (it was in the second set) she won the point with this wonderful drop shot volley, why didn't she do more of those volley attempts ? Why ??? Why ???? She could be a brillant volley player should she wanted to!!!! Why does not she work that with her coach.

It was clear that entering in the playing style of Radwanska would lead her to do those mass UEs, thanks to which Radwanska won, it was such a bad tactical choice!!

I really hope that these last 3 devastating final losses will not mean the end of her carreer, because anybody would be in such a despair after that!!

I don't worry so much about this Miami tournament because it is not a very important tournament.

I think it is just a good practice for Masha for future tournaments. After all even Azarenka has lost this tournament. May be Masha was just tired and could not control all her balls.

I prefer to give another chance to Masha in a more important tournament. The tennis season is not over, Masha can happily surprise us in many tournaments.

The secret of the success is a clever work with your coaches&Dad. You have to avoid your usual mistakes&vary your game.

Masha's career is not over, she has 6 more years.

Davai Masha!!!!! kisses kisses We are going to win again a final.

Unfortunately she made too many unforced errors again. She served well today and made 31 winners, but also made 46 errors, some of them in crucial points of the match: the break points that she got and when she let her to break serve at 5-6 (frist set) and 4-5 (second). Maria didn't play her best in crucial points, and wasn't able to break Aga's serve. It has been so heartbreaking to me to seeing her to reach the finals and doesn't getting the the titles. I wasn't able to watch the trophy ceremony, I wish I could just to listen to Maria's speech. Now is just wait and see what she will get on the clay season. Next tournament Stuttgart, Germany. I always want the best for Maria!

Hey guys you should read the comments to her loss on the home page. I couldn't believe it.... all her lapdog fans who usually drool over her are slamming the crap out of her for losing. It's wake up time, guys.

Dont hold your breath about Stuttgart, it's one of the toughest tournaments of the year. All top players, no easy rounds with qualifiers and playing every day til Sunday. Maria has always avoided this tournament. I dont see this year as being any different

In Russia we say: "hold your horses" or Не Гони Лошадей

that means don't worry, don't hurry in life, Masha will show us her best tennis in other tournaments. Give her at least a chance to control her tennis very well. Masha is doing her best but sometimes it is not easy to win, it is not easy to control your nerves&tennis but I think Masha needs more time to overcome her trouble.

We have to be patient. It is the secret for her success and ours.

Don't you see that she is doing her best !!!
