The HI page is still up.

Diatchenko works with Cahill, gets press, gets backing. A little success & now this, It may be someone is screwing with her. (I'm talking the Yanieefied cold warriors with their vendetta against all Russians everywhere.) Either by spreading rumor & gossip or by actual interference with her business.

It's difficult to appraise until we know more about what she's plugged into--check out the Hiberno Intl lead and try to follow her activity more closely.

Little chance of stream unless something unexpectedly shows up on http://www.e-tennis.tv/ or someplace like that. But sometimes you can get as much through news or still photos--nobody is gonna report on the business end, anyway. It's all about clues, who's with her & stuff like that.

Vitalia and Marta are both currently playing in the 25k 2011 AEGON GB Pro-Series Foxhills. Both won there first rounds and if they both win their second, they'll be up against eachother   : http://en.wikipedia.org/...xhills_%E2%80%93_Singles

Typical.  Sirotkina's opponent, Samantha Murray: Any relation to Andy & Jamie?

Well, it's certainly not getting thru to the search engines. I gotta tell you, though, "Sportsrisq Capital"--as a sponsor--smells fishy to me. Look at what their business is: risk assessment investigations run on athletes for corporate backers? That sounds even shadier than an insurance company. lol Dunno, but I don't go for this weird shit. Gimme a sportswear firm or something clearly hawking definable product.

Anyway, a million dollar deal that can turn around & disappear overnight was never very real to begin with, hunh?

Vitalia retired down a set & a break to Konta. (62 20) On to Astana! Paradoxically, we might learn more in Kazakhstan.

Mnnn...  The wags' snotty cracks aside, think she's actually overdoing the body-building? Looked pretty good in 2009...

ITF tournament in Astana. Diatchenko has won the competition in singles and doubles July 30, 2011, 18:35 M. Petrov

Rossiyanka Vitalia Diatchenko has made significant achievements in a major ITF tennis tournament in Astana. Russian athlete managed to become a winner in both singles and doubles.

Astana, Kazakhstan

ITF tournament

Prize Money: $ 100,000

Open courts, hard

Singles Finale

Vitalia Diatchenko (Russia) def Akgul Amanmuradova (Uzbekistan, 6) - 6:4, 6:1

Doubles Finale

Diatchenko / Voskoboeva (Russia / Kazakhstan, 1) - Amanmuradova / Panova (Uzbekistan / Russia, 2) - 6:3, 6:4

http://www.sovsport.ru/news/text-item/471366

On the way to the final, Vitalia def Alexandra Panova and Anastasia Yakimova. If fans are slow to notice the Russian girl, lately training in Ireland, her enemies are not. Recently, a slander campaign surfaced on tennisforum, involving rank gossip & alleged statements from "agents" that are demonstrably made up whole cloth. Among other bull, they assert she is "fat".

Er... I don't think so... lol

That first one doesn't show for me, maybe not for others. Lemme try:

And here is the little vid from Astana President's Cup:

You can download the vid. BTW, kontraktnik Mikhail Kukushkin def Sergei Bubka Jr (Vika's boyfriend) on the men's side. The vid seems to say Kukushkin was out & Golubev would play Bubka, but that seems wrong.

- Last year we conducted a survey among the relevant players, and they all said that the tournament is convenient in terms of preparation for the U.S. Open. And in terms of timing, so that our tournament is almost the same "hardovom" coverage, as well as US Open. This year we will play ball and be the same as there. It was hard to find them, but we managed.

- Kazan tennis fans, of course, wondering whether to take part in the tournament, the local ward.

- From our will definitely be Ksenia Lykina. She, unfortunately, on the basis of rating does not fall, but we give her «wild card». In the qualifying tournament will take part and our girls: Pauline Novoselov and Lily Sabirzyanova.

- At this time, the number of tennis players that start in the main draw, most - foreign athletes. Last year, in contrast, were mostly Russians. As for the tournament failed to attract athletes from abroad?

- Information about tennis competitions held in Kazan, is distributed to athletes. But especially I am glad that after each event increases the flow of children wishing to play tennis at our academy. As soon as finals are played, as parents start ringing with requests to enroll their sons and daughters. As for the composition of the participants, I would note that it is very smooth. Interesting fight, intriguing fights are expected in the first round. Favorites I have personally no one has written. And the audience, I'm sure this time will be something to see.

- For organizing the tournament and meets the same team sports managers, led by you?

- Yes, it's all the same people. It is very good. Indeed, in September, Kazan takes the Davis Cup.And we need to be local personnel who are familiar with the fact that this organization of major international tennis tournament.

The first courts in the tennis academy «Tennis Bay Center» out athletes who are the main draw of the tournament will make its way through a sieve of qualification.

In the qualifying tournament involved 29 women's tennis.Three sporsmenki for different reasons in Kazan have not arrived. Accordingly, the three "seeded" came out in the next round without a fight. In the main draw through qualifying will screen only four, and six more girls were there, having «wild card». Among them the most successful tennis player Ksenia Lykina Kazan. Besides her, in the main draw of one local vospitanits not play as all seven women's tennis from Kazan, declared in a qualifying tournament, dropped out of the fight. It is worth noting that this year, due to the fact that in the main draw is much more involved athletes with high ratings (three - from the first hundred), rose and Level of qualification tournament. According to leading trainer «Tennis Bay Center» Anton Kratyuka "sown" in training girls in the past year must be started in the main draw. And besides, all his players for 2-4 years younger than most rivals in «Tatarstan open-2011".

"The level of competition for them is too high - says Kratyuk. - This is an adult tournament with prize money of 50 thousand dollars. Most of my players were scattered on the players. And initially chances were few. In my professional rating no one else. But every game was a stubborn fight, a good score. Compared with last year progress of local tennis players noticed.

According Kratyuka, hopes coaching kolektiv «Tennis Bay Center» and tennis fans in Kazan, pinned to the Pauline Novoselov, "Master of Sport in 14 years, the ITF tennistok among 18 high costs, victory is at four tournaments.
But Pauline came to scattering of a rival, Hungary's first racket Vasilis Bulgakov, three years older than her, and lost (2:6. 2:6). Before the race went Sabirzyanova Lily, Veronica conceded Kudermetovoy (4:6, 2:6), the daughter of a well izvesnogo hockey fans in Kazan, the former striker of "Ak Bars" Edward Kudermetova. Lost their matches significantly superior to their rivals in the experience and sisters Aida and Ralina Kalimullin. Speaking of triplets Kalimullin - the third name is Regina - "Vecherka" wrote 11 years ago. All of them are now involved in tennis!

Evgeniya Rodina ready to break a nasty tradition

IMG_25111

The first racket tournament seeded Evgeniya Rodina was sitting at a press conference on pins and needles. Time was running out, soon it was time to go to court, and now your correspondent added, "positive" by asking to podkovyrkoy.

- Evgeniya, at the international tournaments in Kazan was such a tradition that the party starting the press conference loses in first round. Last year, the fate first sowing racket tournament Ksenia Pervak. In men's competition dropped out Kazan Cup Andrei Kuznetsov and Konstantin Kravchuk.

- Yes, why me about this earlier warned not (laughs). I will not pay attention to this tradition, this will take. Especially because last year I dropped out of the competition, losing both times in the first round. Let us break bad habits. As for my visit to Kazan, then the answer becomes clear that I was here a second time. She came because I was here last year really enjoyed, despite the fact that while the tournament was extremely hot. Here, good condition, good rivals gathered to help, I think, adequately prepare for tournaments in America, especially to the U.S. Open. Unlike last year, we're a little walk around the city, I really enjoyed it. Because in 2010 we stayed in Kazan, just two days, and then immediately flew away.

- Who do you see among the main rivals on the road to victory?

- A lot of strong women's tennis, but, above all, highlighted by Vitalia Diatchenko, last year's finalist, Vesna Dolonts (Manasieva). Strong again, a lot.

- What can you say about Vlada Ekshibarova? (UZB)

- This is my opponent in the first round of the competition. But I almost do not know, for the reason that we had never met.

Tatarstan Open 2011 - Launch day!

IMG_7825

The eighth of August in the press center Tennis Bay Center held a press conference on the opening of the second international tennis tournament in Tatarstan Open. The press conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Youth Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Khalil Shaikhutdinov, vice president of Tennis Federation of RT Rinad Zagidullin, chief judge of the competition and Valery Lutkov first racket of the tournament Evgeniya Rodina.

- The number of applicants to participate in our competitions increases, which have been marked by the number of applications, - said Khalil Shaikhutdinov. - We are not happy can not, therefore, like athletes in Kazan, like Tatarstan Open. We, in turn, seek, through such a competition, once again test themselves, their commitment to the 2013 Summer Universiade. In September we will be able to hold in Kazan the most serious team Davis Cup tournament.

The only thing that disappointed us somewhat, as the organizers, is that after qualifying tournament matches, we lost a lot of our tennis players announced - Pauline Novoselov, Lily Sabirzyanova, Sabina Shaydulin, sisters Kalimullin. So now in the main draw tournament, there were only three of our - Ksenia Lykina, Ana Smolin (soon to be chief judge of the competition Valery Lutkov disappointed crowd that Smolin's lost in the first round of the main event. - Comm. Auth.) Catherine Yashin. They will also participate in doubles competition, where they remained our Novoselov and Shaydullina acting with different mates. I hope that they worthily represent our country, and Ksenia Lykina also successfully perform at the Universiade in Shenzhen, where she will depart immediately after the completion of our tournament. Also expanding our geography tournament in which athletes perform in more than ten countries.

- Not entirely successful performance of our girls in education is understandable - Rinad Zagidullin said. - The level of our competition very seriously. Compared with last year, he became more serious due to the fact that the tournament prize of 50 thousand dollars, we have added so-called Hospitality, that is, lodging athletes. This translates into a slightly different event category, more profitable and tangible in terms of opportunities to earn ranking points. Not surprisingly, last year's first racket tournament Ksenia Pervak up the rear while the first hundred of the world ranking, and Evgeniya Rodina, the first racket of the current competition is in the eighth decade. Furthermore, the main grid of the current tournament ends with athletes, eanimayuschimi place in the second hundred of the world rankings. This is a very significant figure. As for our girls, we must, of course, to think up something for their quality growth. Less reputable tournaments, with prize money of 15 000, for example, to enable them to stay longer in the competition vying to be closer to him on the level of skill rivals. However, this year, Pauline Novoselov and Sabine Shaydullina very pleased me with his level of tennis, which they demonstrated at the qualifying tournament.

As for the prospects Ksenia Lykina at the Universiade, it is difficult to assess my physical shape current champion of the Universiade. Unfortunately, none of the injury is very serious fall in the rankings. But the fact that she came to us for the tournament, something that Russia has entrusted her to represent our country at major student competitions, in itself, can not but rejoice. We wish her, as long as possible to please their fans by moving the tournament grid as possible.

Tatarstan Open seeded tennis players began to lose

Launched on August eight courts Tennis Bay Center is an international tournament from the start was the "throw away" sensations.

Second tournament racket flew Vesna Dolonts. She has lost the owner of Wild Card Yulia Putintseva - 2:6, 1:2, refused.Do not hurry to rejoice in the fact that "our beat is not our."Despite the fact that Spring is obviously not Russian name Dolonts, she is, that neither is the Russian woman. Dolonts it to her husband, the representative of Slovenia. However, and maiden name of Spring - Manasieva rather suggests that she Bulgarian roots. But still for Vesna offensive. And for Putintseva, one of the most promising tennis players of Russia, very happy. As the 334th World No. beat the 89th - it's worth it.

Ksenia Lykina, Kazan, together with Marta Sirotkina beat Yevgenia Pashkova (all Russia) and Tatiana Aref'eva (Ukraine) - 4:6, 6:2 (15:13). The victory is a difficult and unexpected, because Pashkova and Aref'eva were seeded fourth tournament racquet.

Flew in the first round and last year's semifinalist Katerina Kozlova. However, the defeat of Ukrainian women, standing now 326th in the world of Russian woman Ekaterina Ivanova - 6:2, 1:6, 4:6 no no sensation. Ivanov, in the current ranking 171st in the grid, Kazan tournament - eight.

Two other Russians lost to representatives, both near and far abroad. Muscovite Anna Smolina, who in a parallel offset in favor of Tatarstan, where left deep in his childhood, lost to Lithuanian Lina Stanchute - 2:6, 3:6. In Smolina still ahead. While she, the owner uyald-card, the world's 1219th, and the first racket of Lithuania - 302-I. As they say, feel the difference. Here at the Yana Buccina (342-I) with the Dutch Raychel Hogenkamp (268th), the difference is, in principle, is small. But the Dutch and won in a bitter struggle - 6:4, 7:6 (1).

Finally, the Thoroughbred Slovene Andrea Klepac in some degree of "revenge" for her husband on the Slovene Dolonts. 279-I won the world Bat Russian woman Marina Shamayko - 6:7 (4), 6-2, 6-4.

In the doubles competition went to two tatarstanki podium, and two - in the next level of competition, the quarter. In the beginning of the losers. Polina Novoselova Kazanka and Veronica Kudermetova (Moscow) defeated Evgeniya Rodina duo Valeria Solovieva and - 0:6, 1:6. Kazanka Sabina Shaydullina Varvara Kuznetsova lost internationalist duo Natela Dzalamidze (Russia) and Mandy Minella (Luxembourg) - 1:6, 1:6. But the Catherine Yashin, formerly representing Saratov, Kazan, and now, in a duet with Nigina Abduraimova of Uzbekistan defeated a Russian-Uzbek duo - Vlada Ekshibarova (Uzbekistan) and Elena Kulikova (Russia) - 6:3, 7:5.

At that time, the first seeded duo Vitalia Diatchenko / Alexandra Panova (Russia both) beat a couple of Turkish Cagle Buyukakchay and Pemru Ozgen - 6:2, 6:3. Finally, Michaela Buzarnesku (Romania) and Alexander Artamonov were stronger international duo Angelina Gabuevova (both Russia) Alyona Sotnikova and (Ukraine) - 6:3, 7:6 (5).

While this interview from the Tatarstan Open is not about Russians, it does concern one of their main RIVALS, Caroline Garcia of France. I'm gonna "polish" the online translation because it includes intel you won't get from English-language sports media I think I'm liking Caroline a bit more.

According to Murray (the girl who) played in Kazan, is the future first racket of the world

gar

Just six weeks ago the name of one of the participants Tatatrstan Open loudly sounded across the whole tennis world. And, so loudly that the world fourth tennis racket Scot Andy Murray said that for his time, this girl works just fine on the court and in the future will be the number one player in the world. Note, not "could be" but "will"!

Moreover, this is not said by some expansive Latino, but from a cold-blooded Anglo-Saxon. (LOL) The reason for the statement was the game with Maria Sharapova at Roland Garros. Carolyn Garcia, we are talking about, occupied at that moment in the WTA Tour ranking 188th place and received a wild card into the main draw, was ahead 6:3, 4:1, and then lost 11 games in a row. Sharapova on this account not so clearly expressed: "Time will tell." And here it is "the future first racket of the world" according to the current fourth racket of the world -- sitting in a Tennis Academy restaurant and answering the questions of your correspondent. Meet Carolyn Garcia, France, 17 years old.

- Bonjour Mademoiselle Caroline.

- Bonjour.

- That's all I remember from school French lessons.

- O-y (laughs).

- Or you have to say Buenos Dias, in Spanish. Judging by your blood you are representative of the Spanish nationality.

- (Laughs even before answer). - I speak Spanish, but not as good as French and English. I'm French by nationality, and have the name of my grandfather, a Spaniard.

- The Spaniards brought, and bring glory to France. If you recall, at the World Cup in 1998 the French team had three of Spanish nationality - Fabien Barthez, Lizarazu Bikshante and Robert Pires. From love of the Spaniards to France?

Carolyn: - I do not know, but I will say that the Spaniards in France are few.

Here in the case entered her coach: - "The fact that many Spaniards had settled in France, escaped from their native country during the civil war in the 30s of last century. In addition, a large number of Spanish lines, and Spanish-speaking, came to France from Africa."

- Carolyn, and in what city you live in?

- In Lyon.

- In the Lee-on-no??

 - Yeah! (Leaping laughing). I understand your reaction. Yes, in the same city whose football team "Olympic" has fallen into your rivals, "Ruby" in the qualifying round of the Champions League. Soon there will come a few dozen of my fellow countrymen.

- Said that they will appear in Kazan on August 24, the day of the return match of the Champions League. And while they did not come, I will ask representatives of the charming town of Lyon, - what a team here?

- I can not keep a close watch for football, because I have a lot of traveling for tournaments. Let me just say that for a long time our team was the strongest in France (seven consecutive years, winning the championship this is not the weakest in football terms, the country. - Comm. Auth.) Constantly playing in the Champions League. But the last couple of years have been a little bit to take their positions.

- After a football and geographical digression, let's go directly to the heroine of our interview with Carolyn Garcia. The name, which sounded loud in that year, after a meeting with Maria Sharapova

- Oh, I'm always asked about this match. You understand that the game was very important to me as I stood on the main court of the country, then I was strongly supported by the French fans. I gave all my strength in the confrontation with Sharapova showed all my skills. Very difficult it was to finish the match, almost no strength left. I hope that from that time, my game will improve, and I'll make progress.

- Andy Murray after that game said that on the court was the future first racket of the world. When you rob to justify his flattering outlook?

- Oh. I work very hard, because the climb to the top is very difficult. Achieve the same goal that is the dream of many. But I'm playing tennis in order to realize this dream - to become the number one player in the world. True, this is a very long way to go to that game for the match, step by step.

- Did a similar step to conquer the top of today's victorious match against Kristina Kucova from Slovakia?

- I hope so. This was my first game in Tatarstan Open, I at first was inferior - 1:2, committed many errors, but then I was able to concentrate on my game. I did it, in the end of the match my opponent was already beginning to make many mistakes.

- What do you know about your future opponent for round of 16?

- Tennis player from Holland Rachel Hogenkamp. She is 268th in the rankings. That is all I know about her, because before we had not played.

- I read that one of the Grand Slams, we have replaced compatriot Virginia Razzano, who had a Wild Card. Starring two female players from the main grid, Razzano placed in the main draw, but you instead get Wild Card. The issue of such a plan - a powerful effect on the nerves of the fact that you do not know, will play in the tournament, no?

- It happened at the Australian Open. Frankly, I was not nervous. At the tournament I played in junior competitions, and asked the Wild Card Tournament in adults. On me there was nothing dependent. Why be nervous about the fact that you do not depend on.

- Kazan is a new pointon the tennis map of the world. Do you know any of our players?

- Anna Smolina. I know her from previous tournaments. Now she told me that she earlier stood for Moscow, and now lives there, but is native to the city of Kazan.

- A lot of your friends at the current Tatatrstan Open?

- Yes. There is Daria Gavrilova, Yulia Putintseva, who played a lot in junior tournaments. I know Vesna Dolonts, who just lost to Putintseva. However, I know more faces, just can not remember their names.

- Earlier this year, was held in Moscow Fed Cup match in which France almost defeated Russia. Leading by a score - 2-0, missed a French victory at the finish line - 2:3. What did they need to win? Maybe you?

- (Laughs). Yes, I remember that game. I was at the time at competitions in Australia and watched clips of the game on TV. Russians initially were favorites in this confrontation, thanks to the skill of their players, and the fact of playing at home. What was lacking for the French women? Maybe luck? I would hope that we will have a chance to take revenge.

- Tell me, Carolyn, are you...?

- Yes, at the university.

- Students have the right to represent at the university. Do you have an interest to play at the Universiade competitions?

- Just now I, of course, do not plan to play at the Universiade in China, because I'll go to the American Open. And about Kazan? You know, two more years to (2013 Universiade), so I still have time to think about representing here.

- Having been here for the first time, you would want to come back for the next competition?

- Why not? Here are very friendly people, at least, those I met. They try to talk to me in English, seeing that I do not know Russian. Here is a great tennis sports complex, with lots of tennis.

It is possible to eat and food is very good. We have a good hotel in the center, which is easily accessible. So I can not complain about my stay here.

- Is even on hot weather there are no claims?

- The weather? Believe me, it is quite comfortable. So I just played in Fergana, Uzbekistan. It was very, very, very hot!

Jawdat Abdullin

NOTE:  When interjecting on Caroline's Spanish heritage, her coach first mentions the Spanish Loyalists who had to flee from Franco's fascists. We see her playing Fergana & Kazan, so she's not adverse to Russia & the East. Think these items MAY tell us something about Garcia's family & team.  Time will tell, but I'm not inclined to quick judgment.

Local Ksenia Lykina, who lost to Turkish player Pemra Ozgen yesterday.

Not wanting to be contrary here, but Galina Vosoboeva's victory over Maria at Toronto has got to be seen as a righteous win by all admirers of Eastern Tennis. Diatchenko for second year sweeps out of the way everyone and everything

dya

August 11 at Academy tennis matches ended in the semifinal stage of Tatarstan Open competition in doubles and Quarterfinal matches in singles.

Their follow-up stopped the fight in the tournament for Kazan tennis player Ksenia Lykina. She, along with Marta Sirotkina opposed the seeded duo of Ekaterina Ivanova and Andrea Klepac (Slovenia). If the first set, the fight was fairly persistent, 6-3 in favor of international duo, then in the second set advantage seeded pair were weighty enough - 6:1.

- Unfortunately we are unable yet to show our game - complained the day before the semifinals Valentine, father of Ksenia Lykina . - While Ksusha not enough physical condition lost during injury.

The winners will meet in the confrontation with the Russian duo Vitalia Diatchenko and Alexandra Panova. They were more successful in meeting with Evgeniya Rodina and Valeria Solovieva - 6:3, 6:2.
Rodina this day had no luck in singles. In the meeting with the French, Carolyn Garcia, the winner was not clear until the very end. The first set of Garcia in a tie-break - 7-6 (5). The second party won a major advantage of Rodina - 6:1. The third game was a Frenchwoman - 7:5, and with it the match.
In the other game, between Anastasiya Yakimova of Belarus and Alexandra Panova, the victory also left behind a foreigner - 6:4, 6:3. As a result, a pair of semifinal tennis players will be foreign. But the second finalist will be exactly the Russian woman. Or Julia Putintseva, defeating Romanian Michael Buznaresku - 6:3, 5:7, 7:5. Thus, the young Julia becomes the only non-seeded tennis player in the quartet semifinalists. Vitalia Diatchenko either, which was stronger Valentina Ivakhnenko (Ukraine) - 6:3, 6:2. In this case, will become the only athlete Diatchenko, who successfully represented for two seasons. Last year was a finalist in Tatarstan Open, and this reached the semifinals and finals.

As for Ksenia Lykina, for whom Tatarstan Open was her debut at the official level in Kazan, Valentine explained Lykina's reasons for moving to the Czech Republic.

- The Czech Republic is the only three clubs that define the face of Czech tennis, one of the best in Europe. One of Prosteeve where Petra Kvitovawas born , the winner of this Wimbledon. Another two in Prague, where we live and train. At one time we were there to collect, we have arranged all the conditions provided. In general, our move has turned out spontaneously. Because we do not live in the academy, we moved to a condo. In addition, the Czech closer to the Russian, there it was easier to solve visa problems, it was easier to find sparring partners. If you think about them, among our competitors Yvette Benesova, who won the mixed doubles competition at Wimbledon today. In addition to them we were opposed Hradetska Lucy, Klara Zakopalova.
