Here are a couple videos of the event in the Bahamas. While watching the exhibition match, I was amazed at how quiet (relatively speaking, of course) Sharapova was. Why can't she play like that all the time?

Sometimes when tennis players don't feel the pressure of the tournament on their shoulders, they play a better tennis. They feel themself more relaxed during an exhibition match than a tournament match.

"I'd love to open a tennis school for children in my hometown of Sochi." said Sharapova Maria.

Aside from that, here may be a find. Watch the kids' clinic vid to note the little girl in black over lavender--who likes to be close to Maria. Watch her serve--her movements are remarkably mature.

 Thanx to fabiosky for picture.

Great quality videos. For the match the camera person should have climbed up one of the top stands so we could watch the whole court view as opposed to one player at a time. Made me feel like I was watching them practise  hitting the ball rather than watch a match.

The kids clinic was fun. Thanks for the links, teddy.

@Dartagnan: Not what I meant

@Paul: You may be right, although if you ask me, she was just imitating Andy Roddick (or Maria when she was using that motion). The girl in the white and pink looked pretty good, too. There was also a young boy (yes, I know we don't care about those here) in red, white and black who looked good.
