I agree with Nikkie too. Maria had some good moments in IW, and I think she can do well in Miami if she works to improve some things on her game. Let's see what will happen!

There was STREAM for the Women's Doubles Final. Mirza & Vesnina took the 1st Set 60, then... :coolyea: UPDATE: THEY WON! 60 75 in 1:15 -- in the 2nd set, came back from 15 down! :aa: 

Sania & Elena V, yeah! :partyh: This is Elena's second IW doubles championship--won I believe in 2008 with Safina.

Reading her facebook entry, Maria sounded so positive after the loss to Wozy and she really is looking forward to Miami. That is a very good sign. I think her new coach has a good influence on her.

I think it is a good lesson for Masha.


 


She should play patiently with precision. 


She should always win points when she serves. Now it is not the case with her double faults. Sometimes you need to serve and play tennis and run fast and not only wainting a strong serve at the first serve and second one. 


Anyway she has a better ranking now.

The step up in class needed to give Wotzernameki a proper game was beyond Maria. Nice to see her in a semi....not so nice to see her ouclassed again.
