Got that one, its Down in the Tube Station at Midnight by The Jam!!! :D Good song!!! :D And yeah I think you may be right, not many americans will have heard that one, and maybe not even that many Brits either!!! Paul Weller is a legend!! :D

My one is pretty easy I think, but I just love these lines!!! Classic!!

There must be some way out of here,
Said the Joker to the Thief,
There's too much confusion,
I cant get no relief.

I know that one, its There is a light that never goes out - The Smiths!!! Good one!! Morrissey is a legend over here, actually he just got voted the biggest Icon in the UK a few weeks ago on a programme over here called the culture show! :D

Midaso you are just proving my point with your choice of songs, Britain has the best bands in the world!! :D

Ok here's one. This is one of my most favorite songs in the history of music!! Ha Ha!! And as a clue, if you need it, Its a British band!!

When the routine bites hard
And ambitions are low
And the resentment rides high
But emotions wont grow
And were changing our ways,
Taking different roads................??

Down through the heavens
Choke on the cotton clouds
Arctic sheets and fields of wheat
I cant stop coming down

That's a tricky one, if I didn't know my British bands so well i,m not sure I would have got it!!! :D I think it's by the Stone Roses, and called Stone Elephant or something like that???

Ok here's mine:

There was a guy,
an under water guy who controlled the sea,
got killed by ten million pounds of sludge,
from new york and new jersey..........?

This band isn't British, but they are a classic band of the 80s / early 90s!!! :D

I made my bed and sleep like a baby
with no regrets and I don't mind sayin'
it's a sad sad story when a mother will teach her,
daughter that she ought hate a perfect stranger
and how in a world can the words that I said
send somebody get over the edge
they'd write me a letter, sayin' that i better
shet up and sing or my life will be over...
