well i wanna ask why the coach of the russian women tennis team or the team don't want Maria to be one of them ?!!
even she well be the best player on the team !!!!

i loveto see her play with them !!!!

It's definately not the Fed Cup captain that said that. He's been trying to get Maria to play Fed Cup fo ages!

i think it is really sad. maria is russian. if the other players don't respect that too it's not their fault. i guess it's because maria was brought up in the usa, while all the other russian girls were brought up in their home land. i wonder if maria has anything in common with them? probably not. it is probably not condusive to the team spirit. that said, i would be really disappointed if maria did a martina navratilova and became a us citizen...

does maria still speak russian? does anyone know?

        Maria's has' Americanized' herself here.I believe she would never join any Russian team.I believe her parents made a decision to get her out ,why bring her back in.Kournikova too ,placticed in Russian snow in October just to show she wants to play at a young age and desired to prove her self.I respect her for that and always will love her.Maria has no need to be there.Its not her thing.
