The success of Sharapova is based on her marvellous parents. We should not forget them.

Yuri Sharapov

I know of an extraordinary compassionate man
Who lives and believes in doing all that he can.
For I know others who have met him will concur
I am honored to know this man as Maria’s father.
He is strong yet gentle with an impressible drive
In him she finds virtues for which she strives.
He has fought battles and at times had to make a sacrifice
Of which I know he would never think twice.
He carries a spirit within him that cannot be ignored
This spirit from heaven God's precious reward.
He maintains with wondrous art
Perpetual love and kindness in his heart.

Maria Sharapova dug herself out of trouble to reach the last four at the Australian Open with an error-strewn 7-6 6-4 victory over Nadia Petrova.

Yes I know that Sharapova had loads of defeats before. She had also a shoulder injury. She hasn't played intensive tennis for a long time. If she continues to work carefully on her new mistakes, she will win. Don't lose heart Maria!!!!

She just came back from a nine-month layoff, that's is not hard to comprehend!!!

With this new victory over PETROVA I know that Sharapova will reach the top level in tennis again. Nobody could stop her.

Yes Maria's back. With her shrieking and her eagerness to be the best (again). It's my real pleasure watching her play with her powerful and so glamorous style. Well I'm happy the time of ungracious hard-hitting girls is over. Those players should know that female tennis is not another version of male tennis. Power is of course necessary but women's tennis sparkles with charm, grace, beauty, finesse and variety in the game.


That's why I'm expecting a semifinal between Maria and Ana to show the world that women's tennis is beautiful. In the final Maria will defeat Serena to complete her GS wins.

Let´s not get carried away, Maria has been doing a good job out there, but to beat those two women, she has to come up with a gamestyle that is almost impossible to reach at this stage in her comeback. So be realistic and stop putting that kind of pressure on her, and let´s take one match at the time.

It was boring in the WTA-tour without Maria Sharapova each game of Sharapova is special. It attracts more and more visitors and fans. Her third match at «Roland Garros» against Yaroslava Shvedova was a memorable event. We are proud of Sharapova.


 


No one can arrive from being talented alone. God gives talent, work transforms talent into genius.
