It's hard to say what is her religion. All I know is that she believes in God.

Just cos she believes in God doesn't mean she's a christian. I believe in God but wouldn't consider myself a christian.

I didnt mean she was a christian. That‘s why I said “all I know is that she believes in God\", meaning, I dont know what is her religion. I believe in God and I am not a christian, So I wasnt impliing anything

She is Christian, but she's not a Catholic or Protestant she IS ORTODOX.
All the RUSSIAN people, including Serbs,Greeks,Macedonians,Bulgarians etc. they are all ORTODOX Christians.

So to make a conclusion she is Ortodox Christian.
If you don't believe me ask Maria :D :D :D

It's not so much that they buy the church they just don't ever shut up. It's the look of propriety that they need that and a 96 Jetta.

Orthodox christians share most beliefs with Catholic christians except they dont believe in the authority and divine inspiration of the roman pope. They dont have a \"pope\".
The name orthodox comes form the greek words \"ortho\" & \"doxa\" that mean litterally \"the right doctrine\" because originally there wasnt a pope in the early church but only councils where bishops from different regions would debate and vote on religious questions.
The orthodox church was based in Constantinople (today's Istambul) till the muslims invaded and took the city in the 15th century. There are very few christians left in today's Turkey because of persecutions who either killed or drove people away.
Today Russia is the biggest center of orthodoxy with other countries still faithfull : Serbia & Montenegro, Macedonia, Belarus, Romania, Ukraine, Greece. There are big communities in France, the US, Australia etc where emigrants of those countries live.

They are organized similar to the Catholic Church since they originally were from the same church organization. After the separation of the Roman Empire (East and West) and Attila's move into Italy, Rome became the powerhouse for the Eastern Side and the Pope, who use to just represent Rome as the Patriarch, became the leading power of the East. Anyhow, the Orthodox church with the Byzantine Empires capitol being in Constantinople had there leading patriarch in Constantinople, since that was the strongest church in their area of influence. After the expansion of the Orthodox side of the Christain faith to the Rusk lands, the main areas of the faith of the Rusk was split between Kiev, Novos..., and later Moscow. Once Moscow took both of these areas over, it became where the most powerful of the Russian Patriarchs resided, the Patriarch of Moscow. With the advent of the Russian Empire this Patriach more or less became the figurehead of the Orthodox faith in Russia's area of influece. However after the destruction of many of the churches by the Soviet State, the church leadership became less centralized. Therefore the leadership of the church today has yet to ascertain a complete leader but the Moscovian Patriarch is the leader by default. At this time as in the Catholic Church in the Reframation, it is having a large sum of divisions in the church because of church policies. An example of this is the Moscow Patriarch having dispute with a leader in the south of Russia on some of their interpretations of the Bible and Orthodox stuff. One example of this would be the belief that only Orthodox people can marry in the Orthodox church and the Church's blessing.
