Ivanovic. If you look at her playing, she does many thing like Maria now, she will turn back and gain her concentration between game point.

Lindsay Davenport, Venus Williams (I hate Serena's personality), and
Kim Clijsters (Bah... It's sad that Kim isn't around anymore)

Justine, of course. she can beat anyone on every surfaces. So the answer is evident at the moment but in some years maybe Ivanovic could be the one to define

Justine Henin, Serena & Venus Williams, Amelie Mauresmo, Lindsay Davenport & Svetlana Kuznetsova. The reason why I list these players is that along with Maria, they are the only ones currently on the WTA Tour who have won Grand Slam singles titles. While there is a group of promising players coming through,(Ana Ivanovic foremost amongst them) they have yet to succeed in winning a Grand Slam.

I'll have to say Venus Williams and clijters... I'd say Serena too if her personnality was freacking better on the court... Yeah Clijters game was one of the best ever and if she was still there I don't think Henin would be boasting her n°1 place !
